Well you already know how fast Dr. Nelson ran it --- 10.40 sec...now we need to find out how fast Dr. Bray ran it to see who won. We have to do it segment by segment since he kept changing speeds. First we have to figure out how long it took him to run the first 25m , to do this we divide 25m by 10.0m/s (his speed) this gives us 2.5s...next we figure out how long he took on the next 50m...divide 50m by 9.5m/s this gives us about 5.3s (you have to round)....then figure out how long he took on the last 25m by dividing 25m by 11.1m/s this gives us about 2.3s (rounding again)...finally we add together all of his times which will give us the full 100m...2.5s + 5.3s + 2.3s = 10.1s...since this is less than Dr. Nelson's time, Dr. Bray won the race and Dr. Nelson is stuck grading the labs.

Line Level is a loose term that us folks in the business had to invent to distinguish between microphone level and speaker level. In order to use/manipulate audio it was important to have a “mezzanine” level signal to manipulate for the final product (speakers).Microphone and phono levels were very tiny electrical signals (micro-milli volts) by virtue of their physical properties in trying to create them. We can’t and don’t want to work with such tiny signals because there would be too much noise and distortion contaminating it. So we amplify the signal to this mezzanine (approximately .1 to 1 volt) level that we can work with. Here we can introduce all kinds of signal modifications (storage, mix, switch, volume, equalization and even distortion) we want.Finally once we’re satisfied we can amplify it more (10 to 100V) to go to our speakers (or headphones) so we hear our signal once again.So yeah, the actual “level” as I mentioned is a real loose term so it’s important that you always read the input/output specifications of any equipment you work with. The one label I really hate is “instrument level”. What the hell? It’s in-between mic and line level so go figure. Also confusing is “consumer line level” and “pro line level” (and there’s variations therein too). Don’t get me started on EBU versus AES line levels either because a lot of “audio people” are confused by it. That's what the "other" box is for. You enter "rent" in the box and then the appropriate amount in the correct column. This only applies if you're self employed or work at home for the convenience of your employer.
Can anyone give me input on the Phonak iLink BTE hearing aid?
You may want to check with the school before you do this. Most school programs have their systems in place and they may be able to tell you if the iLink system will interface with the FM systems they have in place. Most all BTE's can be fit with boots and interface with FM systems that are provided by the school district. FM systems are pretty expensive. The benefit of the iLink would be that the child can take the FM system with them to use in other settings (other than school) like scout meetings or after school art lessons where you may still want to employ a FM system for better listening in challenging situations. I would check with the school audiologist first and get an idea of what he/she would recommend. It is a big big investment and be sure you know all the choices before purchasing.

chocolate... kinda old. voyager. new, competes with the iPhone, touchscreen on front, flips open to reveal a qwerty keyboard and a nice spactious keyboard adn bright screen. srry i kinda sound like a reviewer. gonna start a help advice thing which pays $$. juke, really small, nice 2 gig mp3 player, although, kinda skinny and screen is tiny. looks like a flash drive. the enV, pretty thick, but skinnier and curvier than its precessidor, the LG vx9800 or the V. front screen is tiny, but the qwerty keybaodr is quite spacious, and pretty nice.
