Yes, anybody can give you a gift. All they have to do is go on the Steam store, add the chosen game to their basket and proceed. They will then be presented with three options, email the gift to the recipient, send it directly through Steam to the recipient or they can choose to store it in their inventory for later.

I am pretty sure no one will lend you money, especially to someone they don't even know. This is basically begging for money. How about selling your old games/stuff? Voila! You now have $10. Oh and Gmod is only available through purchase via Steam so you have to use a credit card, or buy a prepaid card (such as American Express, Visa) You can also ask someone to gift it to you.

I really doubt anyone will actually do this for you, I've tried it before. However, there's a site like points2shop called Prizerebel, where you complete surveys to earn points to get prizes. The difference is, there's a custom prize feature you can use to get Steam games (which includes Gmod 10). So I've been trying to find a way on how to get free Garry's Mod keys. The reason why is because my friend does have Garry's Mod and we're trying to get together. My friend is really into Garry's Mod and does not have the money to buy it. I and my other friend have already bought it for ourselves a while ago, but they couldn't buy it. I'd gift it to them but likewise, I don't have the money either. She's also tried to get a cracked version, but it didn't work well with trying to connect.
