Could you recommend me some good laptops for gaming?

I'm happy I questioned your original question in the comments.  I was about to recommend some laptops within the $1,000+ range. So you basically want a low level gaming laptop.  You can get away with using something like the Acer Laptop Aspire E E5, just find a model with 8GB of RAM and a speedy Core-i5 processor.  Those are generally right under the $500 price tag.  The HP Pavilion 15-p151nr is another one.  Again it has a speedy i5 processor, but many models only have 4GB of RAM, so keep that in mind for other games.  And they they're currently just over $500, I've noticed they drop under $500 from time to time. The Laptop IdeaPad Y480 is another good one for you. Again we have a i5 processor, 6GB of RAMYou have the Asus Q502LA, same rough specs as the above, but I've been seeing lots of these refurbished hit the market lately for about $470.  I'm sure you can use Google to find these laptops and moreThe minimum and recommended specs for play CS-GO are quite low, so you really don't need anything high end... Truth be told, I've ran CS-GO on a medium speed Core i3 with integrated graphics and did just fine.  The game really doesn't need much to run, and honestly with $500, you can likely get a laptop capable of running the game on max settings.  Or you can lower your budget and play on medium settings as well. Really up to you.  But you don't need a gaming laptop, to play this.

Can you recommend a gaming laptop?

Some PC gamers sarcastically announce there’s no such thing as a good gaming laptop, but I’ve had good experiences with MSI GP602QF Leopard Pro:Intel Core i7 processorNvidia GTX950M graphics card8 GB RAMwith Win 10It handles most games (I got it for GTA 5) and the fan had speed settings for extra cooling. I’ve never had it overheat, and it’s good to use even outside as it has an anti-glare screen. The sound is acclaimed, and it has a specialized keyboard layout for more efficient gaming. Here’s more details from the MSI site:GP60 2QF Leopard Pro | MSI Global | Laptops - The best gaming laptop providerDisclosure: I’m no expert. I’m not sponsored or anything, I just happen to have used it for over a year and have encountered very few issues. I can game reliably (and use it for work when necessary! ^.^) Prices vary, but it may cost you around $1000 USD.If there’s one hiccup, it’s that the WIFI adapter will randomly shut off, and will require troubleshooting or a complete restart to remedy (this never happens while gaming, curiously). There are solutions to this online, but it can be frustrating when you’re working and suddenly you’ve got no connectivity and have to restart. This will happen once every couple of months, so it’s not a huge problem, just an irritant in an otherwise reliable machine.Good luck :)

What are the best gaming laptop would you recommend for a budget $1600?

$1600 is a actually a very good budget for a gaming laptop. Some brands charge simply for added style, or even just brand name for anything extra over 1600, with same gaming components! Since you have $1600, I wont bother putting in a range of laptops but simply the best options around that price point. So to reiterate for 1600 you can get the latest Hardware, best cpu and laptop GPU.Amazon.com: CUK MSI GE62VR Apache Pro VR Ready PC (i7-7700HQ, 32GB RAM, 256GB PCIe SSD + 1TB HDD, NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1060 6GB, Killer 1535 AC Wifi, 15.6" Full HD, Windows 10) - 2017 Gaming Laptop Computer: Computers & AccessoriesAmazon.com: CUK ASUS ROG GL553 Gamer Laptop (Intel Quad Core i7-7700HQ, 32GB RAM, 512GB NVMe SSD + 1TB HDD, NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB, 15" Full HD, Windows 10) Gaming Notebook Computer: Computers & AccessoriesIf you still prefer to go brand name, its still in the budget but you get less for your money:Alienware 17 R4 Signature Edition Gaming Laptop - 17.3" Full HD - i7 6700 - 16GB RAM - 256SSD + 1TB HDD Hybrid Drive - GeForce 1070 - Windows 10

What entry-level gaming laptops are recommended for games like Minecraft and are also good for doing homework? I currently have a MacBook Air and it can’t handle any gaming.

Well get this:I have a 2017 MacBook Pro with Touch Bar and maxed out specs.I also just redownloaded the Minecraft java edition (gotta try out the new aquatic update snapshots!) and my MacBook runs it just fine. I think I had it set to render 15 chunks and set the FOV at 70%. To be honest I haven't really fiddled with the settings much but its a very enjoyable experience to say the least.I’m also writing this answer while sitting in Starbucks doing my school work (online school kicks ass) and my MacBook is perfect for it.It’s a very light, slim computer with a long battery life perfect for traveling around and carrying in a backpack.the 1TB SSD (solid state drive) is perfect for downloading, and quickly accessing files for school, and other side projects you may have as well as for booting up games, and watching high resolution movies from iTunes. Also remember that you can dual boot windows 10 on your Mac and then BLAMO! you got two operating systems on one laptop. It hasn't really occurred to me that you may want something besides another MacBook, so here’s my recommendation:Dell Inspiron 15 gaming laptop (2017 version I believe) I had the older model before I got my MacBook and it was a decent machine for school, and gaming.the newer version you’ll want to get is $799 at entry level and here’s what you’ll get:7th gen intel core i58GB of DDR4 memory1TB 5400rpm hard drive (slower than a snail)Nvidia GTX 1060 with 4GB of video memory (not too bad for gaming performance)and a 74whr battery which will last you at least 4–5 hours depending on use.If I'm being honest though, get the new MacBook Pro 15in with touch bar because it actually has dedicated graphics and will run light games like Minecraft really well.Check out my Xbox blog if you’d like! Best of all things Xbox! A blog about Xbox, games, and hardware hope this helped.

What’s a good gaming laptop I can get for $300 to $600, that can at least do well with DOTA?

If you can, go for a desktop. It's much cheaper than gaming laptop price to performance. $600 can get you a decent desktop or a standard office laptop, if you want gaming, go for desktop.Buy a used monitor and dull case will help with the budget, fancy cases are cool but also ridiculously expensive. Don't buy mechanical keyboard or Razer mouse or any fancy peripherals, buy a keyboard mouse combo instead, those can be upgraded easily later. Universities have major discount in windows, mine gave me 3 free copies.Pick parts. Build your PC. Compare and share. They have plenty of guides for you to build your own, don't buy pre-built PC, you're paying for their labor too.I recommend an i5, doesn't need to be 7th generation, I have 4th generation and runs Battlefield 1 max settings. CPU is not that important in new games.GPU: gtx 960, 1060 or amd r9 280, rx480 anything around $200. Do a little reading and benchmark search here. YouTube helps a lot too.Good luck, it's not difficult to build your own desktop, don't buy a cheap laptop and use it to game, don't make my mistake
