Hey there! I got this awesome poster. It was drawn by an artist in 1927. It has a women with long black hair (with grapes in her hair) in a red dress. She is holding a big wine glass with a sun coming out of the glass and she is kissing the sun. I know it must be an advertisement back in the day lol. the sentence is: "..du soleil dans un verre.. COGNAC MONNET" I don't speak French but I would like to guess what it says just for fun and see how close or how off I am. I forgot how to speak French?
You probably missed out on learning French grammar and you have the vocabulary of a smallish child. You should follow a structured course (perhaps one which enables you to listen and follow in a book) and read as much as possible. It would certainly help to spend time in France, but I would stress the importance of learning the grammar, to give you confidence and to enable you to write fluently as well as to speak the language.
