Can Taking Gabapentin And Xanax Before An Eye Exam Affect The Results

Does Xanax improve or reduce the quality of sleep?

It knocks you out faster, especially if you have something to keeping you awake when you should be sleeping, but it's a drug nonetheless, so does it improve or reduce the quality of sleep? That is kind of like saying, are you better off having 4-6 hours sleep Xanax-free, or 8+ hours sleep w/Xanax.

Does Ativan help with ruminating thoughts worries and anxious future planning and dread?

Lorazepam (aka Ativan) is part of the class of benzodiazepines that are used to treat anxiety, panic disorder, insomnia, nausea and vomiting from chemotherapy, seizures, and withdrawal symptoms from alcohol.[1] It enhances the body’s own GABA (gamma-Aminobutyric acid). GABA is what tells the body “calm yourself.”While it enhances a sense of calm, it essentially makes most people not give a shit about the background noise of ruminating thoughts, worries, dread, and future planning. Some people build a tolerance to lorazepam, though, and think they need more and more until they’re thoroughly dependent on it.One of my favorite mentors in the whole world had a test for those on Ativan or Xanax when using it to treat panic disorder, and I wound up using it with my patients to help them understand how the medicine should work. Nine times out of ten, the conversation would go like this:They would say, “I need an increase of my dose—it’s not working anymore.”Mentor would ask, “what do you mean, it’s not working? Are the panic attacks back?”“No. I just don’t feel the same anymore.”“So, you don’t feel sleepy or lightheaded. Are you still freaking out?”“No. No panic. No worries. I just take it at bed time and don’t feel as sleepy.”Then, Mentor would explain that they had adjusted to the medication’s side effects of drowsiness, and no increase was warranted. If the panic attacks returned, it was time to consider a new medication or increase the dosage. It kept the patient from getting addicted. Most of the time, it eliminated panic attacks or made the patient able to deal with their ruminating thoughts better. So yes, for some, it works beautifully so the person can do their psychotherapy more easily, and for others, they need something else or a higher dosage to help them.Benzos are rarely used for long term because of the stigma surrounding them and the fact that too many people don’t know how much is too much and wind up addicted. But they can be a useful part of therapy against anxiety disorders.Footnotes[1] Ativan oral : Uses, Side Effects, Interactions, Pictures, Warnings & Dosing - WebMD

How can I get Xanax?

Xanax is hard to get these days. The opioids epidemic is filtering down to benzodiazepines. My doctor used to prescribe Xanax and 2 refills but not anymore. I have to see her in the office, and fill out a form about my mental state for refills.Last month was crazy. I was without Xanax for a whole week due to incompetence of the office staff. They were calling in prescriptions for 1 week at a time!! AND charging me $30 for each refill. Yes, per the doctor and assistant, they are making it harder for people to get Xanax.I have to ask this question. Are you asking because you take it as a recreational drug or do you need it for anxiety? If it’s for anxiety find a psych doctor and make an appointment. If it’s for recreational use, forget about it. Xanax is highly addictive and if your ‘dealer’ runs out you’ll start having withdrawals symptoms. You do not want to go through that. I lost 30 pounds when I stopped taking it cold turkey. I would never wish the horrific withdrawal symptoms on anyone. Please, read my other answer about Xanax withdrawals.FYI - if you’re thinking about getting it illegally the street price can range from $5 to $10 per 2mg bar.

Can clean pee have a suboxone pill dissolved in it, and test positive for suboxone?

In all actuality, it should NOT happen if proper lab procedures are used, as standard GC/MS testing looks for metabolites. However, this DID HAPPEN to me a few years ago. To make a very long story short; I was giving 'clean urine' (someone else's urine, not mine), but because the urine was placed in an EMPTY Suboxone bottle, it came back as “positive for Suboxone.”This took place at a time in my life when I was on methadone maintenance & trying to beat the system by supplying “clean” urine. Needless to say, that it came back to bite me. Also, the bottle in question was empty of pills for a few months at least.I am still baffled by the result, but I presume they were using the cheapest lab possible to run these tests. Also, I doubt they ran a confirmatory test as per procedure.
