Try contacting Viper alarm tech support---http://www.viper.com/ Remote might need new batteries or need to be reprogrammed---try calling some alarm/stereo shops in your area for an installer that might be able to troubleshoot the system. Alarm buttons vary and some have more than one function if pressed while pressing another button---usually one is for arm, one is for disarm, one may be for trunk pop and one for car start and may have one for panic mode but a Viper dealer can tell what buttons control what feature. Yes take it to any alarm shop and they should be able to add in a 2 way pager system that will replace the factory alarm system and also add remote start to the vehicle. These usually run around $450-600 installed. Since you have a Benz though it might be higher since wiring is complicated on a Benz and certain parts of the factory system may need to be bypassed for the remote start to function correctly.
Aux button on python remote start?
The aux button controls a wire that comes off of the brain of the unit. Usually used to control a trunk release if you hook it up, or it can be used to do defrost. Most of the time it is not hooked up, unless you pay for it to be used for trunk release. If your R start/keyless entry honks your horn (or chirps the siren) when you press lock or unlock, you may be able to use this button to activate the silent arm/disarm feature. It is not available for all units, but some work in this manner. You would press the aux button once before pressing lock or unlock. This would silence the siren or horn from honking when you Lock or Unlock the vehicle.
How to reset viper 5701 alarm system?
It isn't necessary to reset the system in order to disconnect the battery. There should be a safety switch located under the hood, but if there isn't, you'll need to use the toggle switch to disable the remote starter before you disconnect the battery. Otherwise, the vehicle may attempt to start when you re-connect power. You can put the alarm system into "Valet" mode before you start. To do this, put your key into the ignition, turn it to the "run" position, then back off; then press the button on the antenna module. The blue light should come on and stay on. After you re-connect your battery, use the same procedure to exit the Valet mode. Then the system should work normally.
How do I find out how to use my new CODE ALARM CA5BLCTX ELVNTRCA PRESTIGE car alarm and auto start?
I just bought a "new" used car and it came with a Code Alarm CA5BLCTX alarm system with an auto start function. However, I can't figure out how to use it. I've turned on the auto start by accident and can arm/disarm the alarm but I turned on some type of timer that keeps going off and have no idea what it is and don't know how I turned on the auto start (but want to know for future use). I can't seem to find a manual for it online nor anytype of instructions. Any help would be appreciated.

Am wondering why you replaced your battery and alternator in the first place. Need more details. Is your alarm a factory unit or aftermarket? Did you replace the parts because your car wouldnt start in the first place? A quick check to see if your battery is charged ....have someone stand in front of your car....turn your headlights on....turn the ignition switch to start....see if the headlights dim. If they dim then the battery doesnt have enough current to start the car. Alarms come wired in many different options. Your alarm may be wired to disable your ignition through the switch or wired to disable the starter or both. E me with more info on your problem. trydave1ce@yahoo.com
2007 dodge durango Factory Alarm Disarm?
I have a 2007 Dodge durango with a factory alarm, and A viper remote start i installed on it. The alarm functions the doorlocks through the D2D Immobilizer box which uses the canbus system. I need to disarm the factory alarm, using the viper alarm output but I cannot find any reference on how to disarm the factory alarm,or Immobilize it. I need the wire color of the internal factory alarm disarm. Or how to disable it completely. At this point id take it apart and remove it if i knew where it was. Please HELP!!!!
