Can You Drive A Dragon Away In Skyrim

Pure warrior or Pure mage in Skyrim?

i have gotten to level 15 with both my pure warrior (nord) and my pure mage (high elf). i just cant decided which one to go with so i have some questions:
-which is easier?
-which is more rewarding
-which is more powerful

keep in mind, i dont want to do a hybrid battlemage type class

How do you do Dragon Riding on Skyrim?

In general, the way to ride dragons in Skyrim is by using a shout in the Dragonborn expansion. You do get to ride a dragon once without having that shout, but only allows you to travel to a specific place. As you pursue Miraak on Solstheim, you will learn words of the Bend Will shout as part of the quest. The third word of the shout allows you to use it on dragons. If you use the shout with all three words on a dragon, the dragon will land and allow you to ride it. (Some dragons are immune.)While riding a dragon, the dragon will mostly fly around randomly, attacking random enemy targets. You can press a button to force the dragon to focus on a target, and another to switch targets. It tells you which buttons to use when you first ride a dragon. You can’t control the dragon’s movements, but you can launch a few attacks of your own, mostly with Destruction magic. You can fast travel while riding the dragon. The only main problem with riding a dragon is that you have very little control, and it’s hard to do much damage if you aren’t an expert in Destruction magic. Playing on Legendary without much Destruction skill, it would take me around a half hour to actually hit something enough to kill it. It’s a clumsy way to fight, and not the most effective way to fast travel. It is a good way to get a dragon to stop fighting you, though. For more information, check Elder Scrolls Wiki: Dragon Riding.

In Skyrim, can you obtain a dragon or some other flying mount?

(Spoilers will be in this, proceed with caution)In the base game of Skyrim when you are working on the Main Questline you will need to capture a dragon in order to reach Sovngarde. (To slay Alduin the World-Eater) In order to do this, you must obtain a shout called Call Dragon. A dragon by the name of Odahviing will fly to the whiterun tower and you will use your shout to knock him out of the air, he will land on the whiterun balcony and you will trap him inside of the building. You will need to convince Odahviing to fly you to Sovngarde, which is fairly simple.Once you convice Odahviing to fly you to Sovngarde you will hop onto his back, and ride him to the portal of Sovngarde. This is the closest you are going to get to riding a dragon in the base game, but along with being able to ride on a dragon, you get to keep the shout Call Dragon and you can summon the dragon to fight with you at any time.(More spoilers, relating to the DLC this time)The second option, is a step up from the base game version, but it’s still pretty meh. To begin, you will need all three Words of Power of the Bend Will Shout, which are obtained by doing the Dragonborn Main Questline. Once you have these shouts, you will want to go to any dragon and use the bend will shout on it. The dragon will land near you and you will be able to ride the dragon. When you ride it you are able to control where it flies and have slight control over it attacking enemies.Again, this is very limited and quite difficult to control, but it is enjoyable. Enjoy!

How fast would a dragon be able to fly?

If the view in the center is what it would look like, it would glide through the air faster than it would actually fly flapping it's wing, simple because the aerodynamics of being in a stable position creates less drag and friction on the body. Lift would be using the wind and air currents to aide it in flight. If in flight and wanted to gain greater speed it would simply nose dive and then pull itself back up just enough to maintain the speed it gained and use the air currents to get higher in the air. The greatest issue is getting off the ground and high enough (probably around 1500 feet or more) to actually take flight because of size and weight. Structure wise (bones, skeleton and positioning of the bones) in the drawing there is nothing to base any thing on. It would be all assumptions, speculations and theory. You can't determine the speed of some thing that has a constant change in variables, it would only be an educated or wild guess.

TES 5 Skyrim: The Companions?

What floris said isn't exactly true, he's confusing skyrim with morrowind. in skyrim when you enter areas you're not meant to be in at lower levels then you get difficult opponents in an attempt to drive you away. but yes you should keep doing their quests, quest number 2 was badass... this seem to have been a bug with the radiant story, or you playing on expert like me... either way yes the falmer, rieklings or snow elves as they're known as are hellish opponents.

But just as word of advice for exploring, when you're at higher levels, say like 20 or so, go north of Winterhold and look for a cave with a man whose name is Septimus Signus, he will give you a quest you would love to do, but its a high level one and if you go there too soon you'll have a very unpleasant experience. and i play the game with a companion by my side and a flame atronach i summon in nearly every fight or i'd die.

Adopted kids in Skyrim won't go to sleep?

"If Runa is one of two adopted children, the other child may use Runa's bed as their bed, leaving Runa with nowhere to sleep." This is according to the "bugs" section of this wiki page: http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Runa_...

Maybe wake the other kid up and get him away from the bed, and see if she climbs into that bed?

There may be a way to fix this if you're on PC and use console commands or mods, but I'm not familiar with that so I can't be of any more help along those lines.

Another way to fix on console or PC might be to reload an earlier save and adopt them over again, but adopt them in a different order, or adopt them one at a time and let the first child settle into the house, first, let some time pass, and then adopt the second.

Skyrim: How do I kill a Sabre cat?

Same way you kill everything bigger than you in Skyrim - from a distance. You didn't mention your playstyle (mage, warrior, archer etc.). That would help me give you a better answer. From your question, I assume that you're not at a high level in the game. So I will give you some approaches to attack and kill a sabre cat. Warrior: For this class, equip a your strongest armor, two strong swords (possibly with enchantments) or sword and shield (for extra defense). Also have a ton of potions in case things go south. Play defensively, look for openings, use your shouts and also your companions (Lydia?). You should be able to take out a sabre easily if you follow these steps.Mage: I haven't played much of this class, but I can give you some pointers. Keep your distance! Mages are too weak to tank against something like a sabre cat. even ironflesh and oakflesh spells won't be much. Use a summon and/or companion to tank for you, or you can just run and blast spells (possibly not the best idea). Staffs will help out against mana problems. This will get you through along with potions and enchantments.Archer: My guess is, if you're an archer, you must also have some points in sneak skill. Use this sneak skill to attack your sabre cat from far away without getting detected. Attack the cat, wait until you're hidden, then attack again. Sure it may take some time, but you will sustain no damage and get a sure kill. Same advice here too, use potions and enchantments to increase your survival chances. Follow these steps and you're sure to get yourself some sabre cat pelt in no time!Image Courtesy: Google Images.
