QUESTIONS ABOUT GEL NAIL EXTENSIONS!!! 10 POINTSSS.?

i am a nail tech and i think choosing gel is a great choice as it is much better for your nails! although go to a salon that uses bioscupture to ensure your nails are kept as healthy as possible!

your nails can be of any length for gel extensions and it looks exactly the same whether your natural nail is long or short

in england they cost between £20 and £30 but im not sure how much that is in dollars but aroud $50 to $60 i expect.

you are asked if you want french manicure or just a colour so that is when you specify what you want

yes i know exactly what you are looking for as it is very popular (a line of glitter along the smile line). i put them on for free but it differs in various salons!

hope i helped!
:)

Getting my nails done for the first time.?

Tell them you want a french manicure. And then explain to them that you want silver in between. They will understand, don't worry. If they ask you if you want gel or acrylic, tell them you want gel. They are easier to get off and don't get yellow after time like acrylic do. They are slightly more expensive. You can tell them how long or short you want them filed down too. Or if you are too nervous, you can do it at home with a nail filer.
After you get them done, your finger tips will be a tiny bit sore and you wont be used to it, but within a day you'll feel like they arent even there.
Don't be nervous.
It's really easy.
And give a good tip, and that way the next time you go back to get them re-done, they will be nicer to you and might do a better job.
I get my nails done all the time, so the employees there know me and love me.
You'll be fine.

What does it mean to have a full set of nails?

A full set of nails means 10 fingers of nail enhancement (acrylic, gel, silk etc) either as an overlay (product on your own nails), nail tips (false nail extensions added to your own nails to gain length) or sculpted (product used to add an length and strength to your natural nail). This is usually with no product on your natural nails or you plan to remove any product you already have on and starting anew.If you add product on top of product, that’s called an infill, refill or rebalance (same thing, different names).

How much is it to refill gel nails?

No it will be 25 dollars unless you decided you do a crazy design on your nails that would cost 5 dollars more

Applying acrylic nails yourself and designs questions.!!?

Okay. When applying the acrylic nails you should first make sure your cuticles are as far back as possible. So you can push them back and/or use the cuticle oil. Then, you want to make sure your nails are clean - no nailpolish, and no nailpolish remover. Just wash your hands. :) After that, you'll want to cover your entire nail with the nail glue, spreading it evenly. After this, you want to firmly, but evenly apply the fake nail to your real nails, make sure you don't keep the pressure all in one spot and hold it there for at least fifteen seconds. After doing this to all of your nails, you can paint the fake nails, decorate them, etc. It really doesn't matter.
However, it sounds like your kit comes with a primer for the nails, so after washing your hands apply the primer and then continue on with evenly spreading the glue. Best of luck!

When is a good age to were acrylic or gel nails?

would gel hurt a 11-12 year old girl my cousin wants some
but she is not sure which ones to use
she want nails to protect her real nails she has tried fake stick ons but don't last long or even going to a professional manicurist

How do I tell a nail technician what I want?

So, I'm going to get my nails done and I don't know how to tell the people what I want.

What is the difference between acrylic and gel? Which one is more expensive? Is a full set and a manicure the same thing?

I want my nails to look real, with the whole thing painted and pretty short.

That design isn't what I want, but that's the kind of nail I want.

Thank you!

How long does it take to get acrylic nails professionally done?

It all depends on what acrylic service you require. If I’m doing a plain overlay on your natural nail it will take approximately 45 minutes (medium length nail) with prep and polish (additional time for nail design). If I’m adding extensions, I always sculpt (for my sins), depending on the length it may take me anywhere from 1.5hrs with prep and polish to 2 hours if its a pink and white (french). Techs who use Tips are sometimes quicker as gluing then on is quicker than forming and building, but sculpting looks more natural as it flows with your nail and if they break they generally snap and go, unlike the Tips. The application is usually quite quick, it’s the fine-tuning at the end, filing to perfection and polishing, that takes the bulk of the time. It speeds up time if you already know what colour polish and design you want before getting to your tech.An infill will depend on the state of your nail after 2 to 3 weeks. If there is nothing to fix, it can take about 30–45 minutes, but if there are broken nails or bad lifting, it could take 1.5hrs or more.
