Can You Play Newer Video Games On A Windows 98 Operating System

What is the best way to play old Windows 95 games?

The best way to run Windows 95 games doesn't necessarily need an emulator.  A lot of games you can find the executable file and right click for properties.  You can set compatibility mode as far back as windows 95.  This has worked for a lot of my old favorite PC games from the late 90's that I still have discs sitting around for.  Runs great on my newer Windows 7 build just fine even in 64 bit OS.There is also a TON of games you can buy that have been ported to work with modern resolutions and PC hardware.  Steam and GOG.com are great places to start.Commandos on Steam and Uprising on GOG are great examples of Windows 95 games that have been ported to modern hardware and operating systems.

Do people still use Windows Vista, XP, or 98 anymore?

A very large number of people still use old Microsoft operating systems. many are businesses with large working systems, businesses with specific software requirements and people who see no need to upgrade. For the latter group, there is no need to upgrade at all. The old systems work extremely well especially if you make some small changes. I prefer the old systems because there are NO updates constantly and forcefully interrupting my computer operation. Removing unwanted software, bloatware and Microsoft products cab make these old systems work faster than Windows 10 in the real world. The latest computers have to work faster only because they are loaded down with junk.IMO Microsoft has made a huge mistake. Half of their business is still computers, that is computers that operate like computers not Ipads or phones. There is still 50% who just want an old style computer that does the stuff that they are used to doing. There is still a market for computers that store and crunch a lot of data. There was a market in producing newer faster computers but running the old gear but that moment has been lost.Don’t be scared by the experts that say say you must have a the latest computer for security reasons. The latest computers are no more secure than old computers AND in XP you had the option of simply rolling back the software to an earlier restore point. This feature was probably the best XP feature and it was recognized as such but instead of being promoted it was buried so people had to PAY for security.I have ugraded my XP machine only because XP cannot handle SSD extenal drives. Upgrading to Windows 7 automatically allows my machine to run SSD via USB. I’m happy Windows 7 is the next best thing to XP.If you want your old machine to work fast, install a cleaner, there’s an excellent free version, remove bloatware and remove as many Microsoft products as possible. Use external mail, internet explorer, video player. audio player etc in preference to Microsoft. You’ll be surprised at the performance improvement.

I got this Rugrats Adventure Game, for Windows 95 and 98?

You're Dell is probably newer than those systems, so it will not load on your computer.

That it's the game's fault. It was probably made earlier before your Dell came out, so it doesn't have the same operating systems on it.

My computer has windows 98 is it becoming obsolete?

Well if you're just surfing the internet and typing/printing then no. If you are downloading useless junk and playing video games on it then yes, it became obsolete years ago. The computer its self can still be very useful and can continue running your windows 98 or one of the many linux operating systems out there.
