Cannot Get Mail The Connection Ton The Server Failed

Cannot Get Mail: The connection to server failed?

After changing password successfully, it says to go to settings, safari, and turn off private browser. I have called Apple help to ask where "private browser" is located and they did not understand the term " private browser" either. Apple said to contact you for help. I have been unable to open mail since Thursday, March 19.

"Cannot Get Mail. The connection to the server failed"?

so i think ever since the 3.0 update...my ipod touch 1st gen.'s mail application has been really unstable. every so often (4 or 5 times a day) i check for mail and it says cannot get mail the connection to the server has failed and it also doesn't let me delete messages saying "unable to move to trash"
i have a yahoo email and idk if it's yahoo's server or if it's my ipod or wifi connection..but i just wanted to know if there was a way to fix it and/or if anyone else has gotten this problem...i still have wifi (usable for safari, etc) when this takes place, it's just the mail that won't receive or send. thank you

"Cannot Get Mail The connection to the server failed." Error message?

To Contact Yahoo by Email, this can be done by clicking on HELP at the Bottom Right Hand side of the Yahoo Home Page under Horoscopes.

Click on whatever Subject is best for you for more information, you can also Click on the Arrows for more options, or Type your Problem in the Search Help box.

For more Help and advice you can also Go to the Right hand side of page and click on Contact Customer Care.

Click on Select a Product, CLICK MOBILE, then select a Category or Version, DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL, page will reload for you to click on Sub Category.

Make sure you fill in Brief Details of what has Happened, click Enter.

Depending on the Category you select and the Sub Category you also select you may see at the Bottom of the Page for more help Click on EMAIL A SUPPORT AGENT. You may have to click on different ones and try variations.

Or else there will be information there on the page to help with your problem.

There will then be a Form to fill in. Fill in the form with as much information as you can remember about your security details and your yahoo account etc.

Yahoo will then contact you at a Different Email Address that you need to give them. This email address CANNOT be a yahoo email one.

You need to give them a different Email Address, it could be one that you already have or you will need to create a new one, Google, Hotmail, etc. You do this by clicking on Email and then click on Register and follow the instructions.

They only need this Different Email Address to give you instructions regarding your yahoo account.

When Yahoo send you an email, make sure you check the Trash and Spam folders as well as the Inbox in case it went in there instead.

You will be asked to create a New Password, Best a hard to Guess One for anyone trying to access your Yahoo Account.

I Would Also Strongly advise that you register an alternative email address and your Mobile Number/Cell Phone Number with Yahoo, that is done through Account Settings. (I Think).

That way if your account is ever hacked or similar, a message should come up and they can send a code to your phone or other email address for you to then unlock your Yahoo Email Account.

Good Luck

Iphone says cannot get mail connection to server failed?

I have often had a message on my iPhone, especially when abroad, "Unable to Send Email: A copy has been placed in your Outbox. The sender address "----@virgin.net" was rejected by the server."

Virgin told me this afternoon that the reason is that if I am connecting through a server that is not in the Liberty global network that they use or is not (in the UK) EE, then they deliberately refuse to accept emails for sending from a client (meaning software such as Outlook or - on the iPhone - MacMail). They said this was a means (allegedly) of preventing mass uploads of spam. They said I could always go direct to their server on the Internet to send mail - true, but a tedious long way round the problem.

Does this ring true with any experts out there? It fits the intermittent nature of the problems I have and the fact that the same problem has occurred on two iPhones and a laptop, but does not explain the once or twice it happened on my desktop.

Cannot get mail connection to server failed so I cant get mail?

I had that problem after I changed my password in yahoo. I had to go to the iPad controls, click on email account and change the password there also. It verified the app to the yahoo acct and all is working now. Hope this works for you.

Iphone 4 "cannot get mail: the connection to the server failed."?

Ok - i had this SAME problem, and here's how I fixed it:

make sure that your google apps admin has enabled "Google Sync" under advanced mobile settings.

Then, just go to m.google.com (not m.google.com/sync) and keep following the prompts for Google Apps users, to eventually get to sync through their links.

Let me know if you need further help, and good luck!

Mail on Iphone says "the connection to the server failed"?

There are many issues at this time. Many are unable to send, receive, sign in or out, or use any features in the mail. Yahoo has their engineers working on the problems. They hope to have it fixed soon, In the meantime, you can click one of these links to access your mail, it's basic, no frills, but it works. http://us.m.yahoo.com/p/mail or: http://uk.m.yahoo.com/p/mail or: http://id.m.yahoo.com/p/mail
I use the "us" link when Yahoo has problems.
