KIMSNG-130508: Why can't I see my Conversation History?
**UPDATE #3** Yes, I know... Another update. Although, this is a good one! We have verified that the Yahoo! Messenger engineering team has resolved the Conversation History problem. All Conversations should now be viewable in it's entirety. Please clear your browser cache and cookies and try again. Remember that the Conversation History in Yahoo! If you're still experiencing a problem viewing your Conversation History after the time this update was posted, please reply to this post with the following information: 1. Why I can not see conversation history with one of my contacts?
Hi Simona, It can take up to 30 minutes for conversations to show up in your Conversation History archive. Can you confirm if you are still not seeing specific conversations with this individual after that amount of time? I've included a link below that goes into more detail. If you're continuing to have this problem please let us know so that can continue to troubleshoot.
My conversation folder is missing, how do I get it back?
here is what Ive been able to do so far to be able to read my convos...under Messenger folder, click on Me: scroll down the drop down window to "conversation history" and select it. you will now see the headlines of each convo...the body text has been missing the past 2 weeks or so, but now it will display as before (at least mine does as of this posting)...anyway...click on "sender", and the convo lists will come up....go and read what u want. NOW the tricky part is...since there is no conversations folder to currently go back to to skip around thru dates, etc, what u must do is...at the top of the bar, where it says inbox, contacts, calendar...to their right, tabs will appear with each page you read...as u know, when too many are open, you will be prompted to close some...and do that...BUT, there will also be a tab labeled Conversations...keep that one open! that way, when you want to go back to the list on conversations, click on it and that will take you back to the entire conversation history, and if you want to move from date to date, use the forward/back arrows in the upper right, same as before...this is messy, but once u do it a few times, it gets easier to navigate. I HOPE this is just a temporary fix, and that Yahoo gets back to displaying the convo folder where it used to be...hope this helps!
My conversation is not showing up in Yahoo Messenger?
Hello... I haven't used my Yahoo! Messenger for maybe a week or two... now when I log on, I can see what I type in the lower box, but when I send it, I cannot see it in the main conversation screen. I cannot see either mine nor my friend's messages. Not even our names. It's all just one big blank white square except the bottom part. >< I can't see offline messages, nothing in the archives... nothing. I've tried restarting my computer, un/reinstalling Messenger... I don't know what else to do. Help ><

Error Code 401. Unavailble to access to the Conversation History?
What a F-ing piece of SH#T, Yahoo! "Failed to process your request, please try again later". Except that trying again later only gets the same F-ing piece of sh#t message. Yahoo!, the most customer-contemptuous F-ing worthelss company anyone ever re-invented. No better promoter for gmail ever existed.
How do i view my old yahoo messenger files/chats?
Go to messenger -> preferences -> archives, enable this feature, click okay. To save future messages, mark "yes, save all of my messages", click "apply" and "okay". To read archived messages right-click the user ID, click message archive. About offline messages: only those of people on your contact list will be saved. Messages from people not on that list won't get saved. If you have not enabled the archive feature yet, you won't be able to retrieve old chats. The archives cannot be saved on the Yahoo server. Yahoo Messenger stores them as .dat files on your harddrive, usually in "C\Program Files\Yahoo!\Messenger\Profiles". To read any old messages, you normally click on a user's ID to read them, but after visiting several forums I found this handy little freeware tool: http://www.carbonize.co.uk/Old/Yahoo/archive.php which lets you open your messenger .dat files without entering your YIM account. Note: I haven't used it yet myself, but from what I read so far, people seem to like it...
