Im 16 and i got caught stealing from walmart?
so as i've stated i'm 16 and i got caught stealing from walmart. i stole three small hair clips... i bought a tide pen, pack of gum and a car charger... i stole it bc i mean it was small and i wanted to save money for gas.. anyways, i was stopped after i exit walmart and they took me into the office and told me that since im not in the system all i have to do is pay a fine. so my question is, are my parents required to pay the fine or is there any way i can pay the fine without my parents knowing? i really regret it ):

We are dumb. I stole asprin for my 7 month old neice, then my stupid boyfriend stole a bottle of jack daniels. And my sister put eyeliner and foot cream in my purse. Since she was under 18 and would have to call the cops me and my bf took the blame for everything. I'm 19 and he's 22. They made us sign some paper and told us we would get a paper in the mail for a a fine. Which idk how much its gonna be. And its been almost a month later and I still haven't received anything. They didn't involve police and didn't ban us. I'm not pulling that again. I have a fulltime job and had a bunch of cash on me, I should have just bought the medicine. But I didn't wanna stand in the long *** lines. I know stupid but...damn. they also didn't give us a court date or anything. I think its just between me n my bf and walmart. I guess I'm just wondering if this will go on my record? Maybe a guess of how much my fine will be? Anything will help really. I'm so dumb..this won't happen again. Soooo not worth it

I bagged up 3 bags full of food itiems in walmart vauled about 100 bucks and walked out. He said show me recept but gave bs answer saying my mom has it. I gave them my ID and phone number. They let me go and said they would hold the food for 30 minutes till mom came. I called back and said you can put it back up she ant commin. Will I get charged? I think a guy was following me. Also, i signed something 3 years ago that I was kicked out of walmart( but ive been going there like everyday since then) I have a unauthorized use of motor vehicle (misdomeder) on my record thats it. I have a kid on the way and dont need trouble. its my last day shopplifting. help me what do you think will happen? Im 22 today.

hello, so heres the story.im 18, my bro is 17. me and my friends we ran out of gas and decided to go steal some stuff from walmart and then return the items and get store credit for it. we done it before and it always worked. but this time we got caught. i just got like 20 bucks worth of stuff, my bro got like 40 . me and my friends split up but i guess loss prevention saw us walk in together. my friends were stealing perfume. and they had a razor to like open the packaging. so me and my bro started leaving walmart and then out of the corner three women ran out and like dont bother running the police are on the way and stuff like that. i had a huge chance to run, but decided not to i dont know y. so they lead us to the prevention room and say to take out all of the merchandise. so we did. then they start asking us about the other guys. we said nothing. so she gave us the paper where we can write out the statement that we did steal from walmart and stuff like that. we wrote a statement. then they caught the other two, and one of them tried running away but the loss prevention dude caght him, . so me and my bro didnt get like no court date, nothing. they just gave us two papers from walmart . oh and the cops were called. but my friend that tried to run he got a paper from the cop like the court date, fine, and banned from walmart. the other guy got arrested for using false name, and we had one more guy, he got away. so my question is ...am i and my bro like still gonna get the court date and fine, or did they let us go. cause the woman said we cooperated very well and all to the cop so im worried because im unemployed and i dont know wat to do. oh and this is my first offense. i never got caught, this the first time. plz help me plz

Walmart gives every employee a bonus. for catching a shoplifter! This is one reason you see to many people getting wrongly treated in Walmart! They don’t train or hire people with loss prevention background or schooling! There may be a few people in the store with training! Many times they hire off duty officers, but that by no means is that they been trained right!Also push comes to it the officer not going to lose his full time job over a part time work! Since he would most likely lose both!You also see people targeted by race, age, sex! In the loss prevention room! Or the camera room?How many people have bought a item that they needed to hold in there hand because it would fall out of the basket? Then at some point they without thinking put the item in there pocket to answer the phone, or to pickup something else?Or you go to the self checkout line? Because of the 30 other cash out stalls only has 1 checker? So you not knowing how there remote scanner works only ring up some not all of the items in your cart because there to heavy to lift out! Then the guy at the door checks your receipt? Now your a shoplifter! Many times I got home figured out that I rang up to many of the same items screwed my self! All because I was afraid of being called a shoplifter!

I can say in all honesty, it's embarrassing and scary but everything will be fine. For under $100 it's very petty and you might get a fine and community service, or you may be ordered to write an apology to the store or the whole thing may get tossed out. Courts are for criminals not candy stealing children. You know, you're allowed to call the store and offer an alternative solution? You and your friend could call and offer the manager 5 or 10 hours of parking lot clean up. I'm sure he'd jump at it and if he's not able to drop the charges, the court will LOVE hearing that one or both of you stepped up and offered to make it right. If you do that, I guarantee you the charges will be dropped and you can forget all about this.

I know what i did was wrong. today i got caught shoplifting at Walmart. I didn't planned on stealing. But today i was buying some groceries and i came across a hard drive that look as if someone was trying to steal it but abandon it. It was still in its package that was really damage. it was just there for the takes. stupidly i take it out the package and pocket. Biggest mistake ever, i don't know why i thought i would get away with that. but anyway i got caught by the loss prevention people that work there. they were very calm and chill. They took down the information on my drivers license and tell me that they wasn't going to call the cops and also gave me a number to call and said i would have to go to court. Because they was joking and laughing with each other, i'm not sure what to believe but one of the guy said they will put out a warrant for my arrest. Not sure how stuff like this work, (never been in any legal trouble or arrested before). I do know that i will have to pay a fine and i think court fees. But my question is can i still get arrested or will they arrested even though they could have arrest me on spot but they didn't. I value of the item i took is over $100. What will happen. Any help will be appreciated. I'm also in the Army reserves, how will this affect me? will i get kick out the Army reserves?

Yeah I was stupid enough to steal around 20 bucks worth of makeup and I regret it so much and it was definitely not worth it :/ So my question is what is going to happen from here they didn't call the police and I didn't sign anything they only took my ID. I asked if this was going on my record and they said yes :/ so I also wonder if there is a way of getting it off cause this is the first and only time I have done it. I'm Also in California and I'm 18 years old.

I know I did something sooo stupid. I'm so mad at myself. I had that moment with the little angel and devil on your shoulders and i messed up. I opened the merchandise and stuck it in my pocket. I was walking out and 2 people came up to me and said, "we saw what you did" and they showed me the packet I had opened. They took me to a room with the computer showing the camera's. Wrote down some things on a paper, looked like a form to send to corporate. They took down my address and name from my ID. Then printed me a piece of paper with general information on it. I asked her if I would be fined and if anything would be sent home, and she said if the product is under 10 dollars then nothing would happen, but the way she said it, made it look like she wasn't sure. My product was 9.98. But on the letter it said that they have the right to charge me for civil remedies for the incident. Which is like a fine /: 1. Will they give me a fine in anyway? 2. Will I receive a letter home? If my parents find out then I'll be grounded forever! Please help, im scared.
