Create First Names And Middle Names For These Boys Names

What do you think of this first and middle name?

I have the opposite opinion of everyone else, it seems. I think Matteo Legerme is fabulous. The middle name is a bit difficult and doesn't quite match Matteo in origin, I'll admit, but no one will have to know your son's middle name if he doesn't want them to. Matteo is perfectly usable, and if your son doesn't like having an uncommon name, he can always go by Matt. (For those who don't know Etienne is the French form of Steven.) Overall, this seems like a sophisticated European choice with a lot of history behind it.

Caylin Rae, on the other hand, feels trendy and unsophisticated. I'm rather surprised that you picked names in such different styles. Caylin is a made-up combination of Kayla and Jaylen, it seems, and both Rae and Shay feel slightly backwoods to me.

Since you seem to be into French and Italian names, why not consider some of those for your daughter? How about....

Gianna Claire
Eloise Fleur
Adeline Bianca
Amelie Mariella
Adele Evelina
Clara Simone
Celia Corinne

A first name (for a girl) for the middle name "Emilia"?

Emilia is a beautiful middle name. It's lively, graceful, and very European sounding. Because it's long and flowy, I'd recommend a less-frilly first name for balance. Crisp and classic names seem to create the best combinations to my ears. You could consider:

Violet Emilia
Catherine Emilia
Caroline Emilia
Abigail Emilia
Charlotte Emilia
Helen Emilia
Audrey Emilia
Claire Emilia
Margaret Emilia

Good luck!

What are some good middle names for the girl name Alena and the boy name Jeremiah.?

Firstly, I'm sorry to hear about your Grandmother, God bless.

I quite like both of the names you have picked out. I think Alena Rose sounds good together and really flows, but that may just be me. It just sounds really pretty. Jeremiah is a good name. He can be nicknamed Jerry while he is young (if he wants to) then as he gets older, he has the choice to be called his full name. Jeremiah Rhys/Reece sounds good to me. Here are some other suggestions:

Alena Paige
Alena Joelle
Alena Peyton/Payton
Alena Isabelle
Alena Grace
Alena Jade
Alena Jasmine

Jeremiah Aston
Jeremiah Braedon
Jeremiah Finn

Good luck.

What is meant by first name and last name?

In conventional usage in English and in nearly all Western countries:—“first name” = the 1st forename = the 1st given name“middle name” = the 2nd forename = the 2nd given name“last name” = surname = the hereditary family nameExample 1:—John WAYNEJohn = first name = forename = given nameWayne = last name = surname = family nameExample 2:—Eric Arthur BLAIREric = first name = forename = 1st given nameArthur = middle name = 2nd forename = 2nd given nameEric Arthur = forenames = given namesBlair = last name = surname = family nameASIAN NAMESThe name order is often reversed in Asian cultures (Chinese, Japanese, some Indians, etc).Despite the different Asian naming order, the term “first name” still means the given name and “last name” the surname:—In ChineseChan Tai Man (陳大文) — a male nameChan 陳 = last name (surname) (xìng 姓 ‘surname’)Tai Man 大文 = first name (given name) (míng 名 ‘name’)Western restyling (general) = Tai Man Chan (‘Mr Chan’)Western restyling (Hong Kong) = Tai-man Chan and T.M. ChanIn JapaneseIwasaki Yukio (岩崎幸夫) — a male nameIwasaki 岩崎 = last name (surname) (sei 姓)Yukio 幸夫 = first name (given name) (na or mei 名)Traditional Japanese style = Iwasaki Yukio = Iwasaki-san (‘Mr Iwasaki’)Western restyling = Yukio Iwasaki (‘Mr Iwasaki’)Names in MyanmarBurmese names are the odd man out. Generally speaking, Burmese names have no surname at all and have no serial naming structure. This means Myanmar people often have just one ‘name’ and they often change at will. Three-syllable and other more complex structures in Burmese names basically started in the 1890s. Most usually, Burmese names include some kind of ‘honorific’ such as “U” in names like U Thant and U Nu.A possible Indian misinterpretationOver the years, I’ve noticed many instances of people from the Indian subcontinent misinterpreting “family name” to mean the name used in private family settings. It doesn’t mean that.A person named Nikita Shekar might be called “Nik-Nik” at home, but her first name is Nikita and last name Shekar. I get asked this all the time in private, so this might or might not be common situation there. Thanks for the A2A.
