Dancer Weight Loss Help

Weight Loss Help- I'm a ballet dancer?

I have been told that I have a ballet body underneath some fat. I dance about 17 hours a week, but I'm having trouble losing the weight.. I know I'm not fat, but auditions start in February and I really want to look and do my best. I would be willing to diet in order to lose weight, but I don't really know how to diet. I've tried these past two months, but every time I try too diet I end up exhausted or feeling sick. I'm hypoglycemic, so depriving myself of sugar does not work. I'm 15 years old, and I fluctuate between 125 and 128.. Putting my situation into consideration, can you give me like an example of what I should be eating on an average day? Because I know whats healthy- I just struggle with portions and timing.
Ex: I'll not eat enough during the day and then end up binging on sugary processed carbs later, because I'll feel feeble.
Also, any healthy, safe diet tips for a ballet dancer would be super helpful. Thank you!

Can random dancing help you lose weight?

For people who want to lose weight naturally (no pill, no cream) without going gym, you should try Imodstyle Lose Weight Fast (please search on google, i don’t remember the link). I lost 7 pounds in the very first week! And it just kept coming off. By the end of the month, I had completely reversed a whole year of bad eating and laziness. I’m still losing weight weeks later. Be careful with unknown pills, cream, it can affect your health seriously. Don’t try to eat less to lose weight too, it’s very danger. You need a proper diet plan to lose weight.

Does dancing help you lose weight?

Dancing is an excellent choice of exercise for weight loss, as much for its fun factor as for the calories you burn. That said, 30 minutes of moderate exercise every weekday only just meets professional recommendations for everyday health; if you want to actually lose weight, you'll probably need to put in more dance time or up your intensity. Monitoring your calorie intake can help you reach your weight-loss goal faster.Calories BurnedThe more calories you burn, the faster you'll lose weight. While some factors that determine your calorie burn are completely or partially out of your control at any one moment -- such as age, gender and body composition -- you can control your choice of dance and how intensely you pursue it. As a general rule, faster, more vigorous dancing -- such as a challenging ballet class or doing the twist -- can burn up to twice as many calories as slower dances such as the waltz.Diet Matters, TooWeight loss is a matter of burning more calories through exercise than you take in from your diet. Burn 3,500 more calories than you've consumed, and you'll have lost a pound of weight. According to figures from Harvard Health Publications, burning that many calories could take from seven to 11 hours of ballroom or square dancing. A healthy, monitored diet will ensure that you're well nourished but still keep you from consuming enough calories to negate all that dancing you just did.

Can dancing for 20 minutes help me lose weight?

Losing weight is almost totally driven by food choices (what and how much). Exercise (such as walking, running, and workouts) is needed for stamina and strength and for making sure that the weight you lose is fat and not muscle, but purely in terms of weight loss, exercise is neither necessary nor sufficient. It’s not necessary, because even if you don’t exercise, you can lose weight; and it’s not sufficient because, even if you do exercise, you cannot eat anything you want and still lose weight. In contrast, good food choices are both necessary and sufficient for weight loss, so I see food choice as the main driver of weight loss.My current diet advice describes in some detail an approach that is simple, easy, effective, satisfying (you won’t feel hungry), involves no calorie counting, and offers an easy transition from weight loss to weight maintenance, always tricky. I lost quite a bit of weight following that method, and I was quite sedentary at the time. (Since then I have taken up Nordic walking and because it’s so enjoyable I now walk a little over an hour a day, six days a week. But weight loss still depends on food choices. Walking is for fitness, not weight loss.)It will probably take a couple of weeks to get the hang of it, but stick with it for two months and see then what you think.
