yeah its right,only if lower limit is=a & upper =b.
another way the ans. can be formed:
you know lnx/y=lnx-lny
therefore,ln4e-lne=ln4e/e
=ln4
=2*ln2

do you mean 0 upto 5 or as you wrote 5 upto 0??

This is u-sub question with u = x+4 ===> du = dx and x = u-4

{limits will be changed to 4 to 9}

Integral of (2x) sqrt(x+4) dx
Integral of 2(u-4)sqrtu du ====> simplify
integral of 2u^(3/2) - 8u^(1/2) du
= 4/5 u ^5/2 - 16/3 u ^ 3/2 EVAL FROM 4 to 9
= 4/5(sqrt9)^5 - 16/3 (9^3/2) - [ 4/5(sqrt4)^5 - 16/3 (4^3/2) ]
= 4/5*(3)^5 - 16*27 / 3 - 4/5*(2)^5 + 16/3*8
= 1012/15

what happens when you interchange the limits ??? when the limits are the same ??? this is a " concept " question...and do you know them ??

Definite Integral Question: ∫ (sin2x)dx from 0 to pi/2?

∫ (sin2x)dx from 0 to pi/2

∫ (sin2x)dx from 0 to pi/2
u=2x
du/2 = dx

u(pi/2) = pi
u(0) = 0

∫ (sinu) (du/2) from 0 to pi
-cosu / 2
-cos(2x) / 2 from 0 to pi
(-1/2) - (-1/2) = 0

But my answer sheet saids = 1.
What did I do wrong?
