Deposit Dispute In Chase Bank

Can I deposit cash in someone's account through a bank?

Yes. If the amount to be deposited is up to Rs. 49,999/-.No, if the amount to be deposited is Rs. 50,000/- or more and you don’t furnish PAN Number. The moot question is why you want to deposit amount in other’s bank account? Just to harass the account holder. If your contention is like that, you are totally at mistake.Even if you know the PAN number of the account holder in whose name you want to deposit the cash, it will be a fuitile excercise for you.No sooner you deposit cash in any account, an SMS will be sent to account holder and if the account holder has intelligence, s/he will withdraw an equivalent amount from his very same and/or other account, so that there is no imbalance in cash balance with him/her at the end of the day,

What should I know while disputing a charge from Chase Bank?

That you might be making things worse for yourself. If you think it is a fraudulent charge, are you sure? Maybe you bought something and forgot? Maybe you signed up for a subscription and forgot about it?Or are you disputing it for some other reason? Didn’t like the product, etc…Either way, you probably want to contact the company the charge came from first.Tell them you don’t recognize the charge. Maybe they’ll remind you it was something you bought in the past. Maybe not.Regardless, you should try asking them for a refund first. The worst they can say is no.On the other hand, if you file the dispute first without contacting the business, there are 2 things that could happen. The business owner doesn’t understand the dispute process and just ignores or accepts the dispute. You get your money back, the business owner has to pay a fee and their reputation with the credit card company is hurt. The business owner decides to fight the dispute. If they can prove it wasn’t fraud (in the case of a forgotten subscription, etc), and that you never contacted them for a refund (you didn’t), the money is returned to the merchant and taken from your account again. You can try to dispute it again after that, but you are likely to lose again. In any case, the best thing to do is to contact the business first. Credit card disputes should be a last resort, not just a lazy way of getting a ‘refund’ and hurting the business at the same time. It’s very likely that this is something you bought or signed up for and forgot about. If it is actual fraud, many businesses would have no problem refunding you (and you should get a new card number issued if that is the case, someone has your old one.)Give the business the chance to take care of it for you. Either you forgot about something and this is your fault, or it’s actual fraud, the fault of the criminal who stole your information.Filing unnecessary credit card disputes only hurts legitimate businesses, and often complicates the process unnecessarily. You also risk losing the dispute and getting nothing.Call the number on your credit card statement and ask for a refund first.

Paypal dispute...Chase bank refunded my money but Ebay seller sent my the item already!!!?

First off, give him bad feedback. Then contact him again; if he doesn't respond file a complaint order through ebay and try to get the right DVD or your money back. I am a seller on ebay and I have also been through your situation. As a seller you dont even get the payment from the buyer until they give the seller proper feedback and ensure that the item was shipped correctly. Paypal has a hold on the money until they are sure the transaction is valid. In your case, the seller wont even get your money until you give positive feedback (im assuming yur not gonna do that) or the 21 day hold that paypal has wares off. Until then contact ebay and file a complaint. Good luck

How to deposit my check from work at chase bank?

Wow at some of these replies. You would think that people never used a bank before.

When you opened your account with chase, they gave you starter checks, correct? And in this box, at the end of every booklet of checks are DEPOSIT SLIPS. Tear one of the deposit slips out, fill it with the amount of the check, then take it to the bank and deposit the check WITH the slip. You then get a receipt.

If you don't have any checks with the deposit slips at the end of the booklet, then go to Chase and they will have generic deposit slips sitting there that you can fill out, then deposit your check. The only difference is the ones that came with your checks, already have your account information on them. The generic deposit slips require you to fill out everything.

After 30-90 days, your employer will probably be willing to setup direct deposit for you, this way you don't have to worry about depositing your check, but it still takes around a month for them to switch you over to direct deposit.

How do credit card disputes work for the company whose charges are being disputed?

The disputes reasons are regulated by the chargeback-guides from the card schemes and they contain the rules when the issuer's bank might issue a chargeback to the merchant's acquirer bank. The acquirer bank of the merchant will then try to prove (the possible proofs are regulated in the guides as well) that the transaction has been initiated by the cardholder. Such as to achieve this the acquirer will use their records (authorization logs, look for some patterns etc.) and as well ask the merchant to provide detail about the charge (signed sales slip, order details, shipping details etc.). If the merchant cannot provide the proof (regulated in the contract between merchant and acquirer) then the acquirer will chargeback the merchant without hesitation. The card schemes monitor the number of chargeback for each acquirer related to the number of transaction processed. From a certain ratio on the card schemes will fine the acquirer if it surpasses certain thresholds. That's why an acquirer will do a KYC and asses the risks of contracting a merchant.

Item dispute refund what should i do i got the money back but i still have the item?

If the credit on your credit card was done by the seller, then they need to instruct you on the return. And it won't be an honor, it will be an obligation. That they botched the sale doesn't give you some license to keep what is theirs.

If the credit card company instead credited your account because of a dispute, then that's just a tentative refund, You still owe it, pending a resolution. That's the deal as per your credit card agreement. In that case, you have to make your case, and it has to make sense.

You cancelled the card cause you thought the seller might steal from you? You need to get out more. The seller can't do that. They can try I suppose, but once known by your credit card company, that will be really bad news for them... and at zero cost to you.

Chase- dispute charge: unsatisfied with product.?

So i ordered a AC power charger for my macbook pro from ebay and the auction i purchased it from had no pictures with the title "85W AC Power Adapter Charger APPLE MacBook Pro MagSafe." Upon receiving the item i was shock to see that it was in fact not an Apple charger, but a cheap generic ac charger. And let it be known that i paid the same price as if it was an apple product.

I emailed the seller several times and he ignored my emails for a refund (i searched through his feedback and all his negatives are either damaged, defective, or wrong item and refusal of refunds) and he ignored them until i filed a dispute on paypal.

So what are my options and chances of winning with a paypal dispute and the odds of my credit card , chase, will honor my dispute charge?

Can you deposit a check made out to someone else in your own account?

You can deposit a check made out to someone else in your own bank account if the payee endorses the check over to you. They will need to write “Pay to ” on the back of the check and sign it.There is, however, no legal requirement that the bank accept such checks. So, the bank may refuse the accept the check or may put a hold on it until it clears the other bank. Some banks will accept such a check only if the payee is present when it is deposited, so they can verify their ID. Some banks will accept such checks only when the check is jointly made out to two people (e.g., a married couple) and one endorses it over to the other so that the other person can deposit it into a separate account. (Some will insist on depositing such a check into a joint bank account if it is a government check, such as an IRS refund check.) No bank will accept such a check if neither the payee nor you are a customer of the bank.

ATM dispute, complicated situation and bank will not refund. How can I get the money back? Help!?

My sister came to visit from abroad. She left her ATM card with me as our whole family pooled money together to buy our mother a gift. The money was in her account and I was to buy the gift.
I managed to withdraw half the money but when I tried to withdraw more, the message "your transaction has not been processed" showed on the ATM.
I assumed it may have been the ATM I used as it was a card from a foreign bank. I tried several different machines and got the same message, other times it said "insufficient funds". I contacted my sister asking her to check with her bank. She wasn't too concerned as the last time she visited, the bank put a temporary block on her card after she withdrew a large amount of money as a precaution, incase of fraud.
When she popped into her branch, their system showed that each time I tried to make a withdrawal, the money was debited from her account.
This became tricky as banks specifically say not to give your card or reveal your pin to anyone. Either way, our money was missing, something had to be done -she launched an ATM dispute.
After several phone calls and emails chasing the progress of the dispute, 6 weeks on, the money was refunded, then taken out again by the bank.
She popped into her branch and was advised that they had to reverse the refund as after investigations were conducted, they believe the money was infact withdrawn as their systems balance out. Quite bizarre as the limit for atm withdrawals is £300 yet they claim i withdrew considerably more than that in 1 day! She was told if she wasn't happy with their decision, she has the right to appeal.

It's a horrible situation as we do not have the money to buy mums gift, my family probably think I took the money ( which I didn't) considering I'm currently unemployed, they won't say it but I know they think it - who wouldn't.
Please, someone help me - what can we do to get that money refunded. How can I prove my innocence. Thanks.
