This is just like your last question. OK rather than give you a long and drawn out explanation I have a better idea. Below are two articles. The first one is about malaria and the second is a link to a very nice diagram discussing the plasmodium life cycle. The article explains it fairly well and I think the picture is what you really need.

it could really help to find a labled diagram of some specific ones, like streptococcus pneumoniae and Escherichia coli for bacteria, green algae, water molds(like the kind that caused the great Irish potatoe famine), and kinetoplastids for protists, and some helpful and harmful bacteria.
