Did This Guy I Was Attracted To Have Tourette Syndrome

If a guy had tourettes syndrome, but was cute and so nice, would you date him? Honesty honesty honesty?

Yeah. Everyone has their faults and problems. If someone is nice and kind and you find them attractive, something like that shouldn't get in the way. (:
Best of luck!

I wanna date guy who has tourette syndrome?

Tourette syndrome is a horrible disorder that people actually SUFFER from. If you date someone with it thinking it's some fun disorder, they're not going to like you. I have tourette's and, personally, if someone asked me out only because of my disorder I would feel insulted and give them a no. I want people to like me for who I am, not because of some disorder I have.

Also, saying curse words from tourette's is extreamly rare. Actually the rarest tic a person with tourette's could get. And if you would meet someone with tourette's that had to yell out curse words and you laughed at them because of it, they would hate you. Also, if they swear because of it, they also probably have A LOT of motor tics as well. If a person swears from TS it's usually really noticable. What I mean by that is, you wouldn't be able to go to movie, you would be kicked out of resturants, people would laugh and stare... and so on.

There are probably people at your school with tourette's actually. As many as 11 in 1000 kids could have it. But in most cases, it's mild. People with tourette's usually have little tics like blinking their eyes, shrugging their shoulders, moving their head, making weird faces, grunting, humming, and stuff like that. Just little things that, at a quick glance, you will not notice. All tourette's is, is some annoying disorder.

So what I'm saying is if you date someone that swears because of it, you're going to get annoyed. If you date someone with just a mild case of it, they're going to get annoyed with you. Basically, you will have no feelings for them. Only date people you like... and if that person just happens to have tourette's, go for it. Tourette's shouldn't make you like a person and it shouldn't make you not like a person.

Would you date someone who had tourette syndrome?

no way

Is this a sign of attraction if a guy hums around you?

That's very insightful, and I'm guessing you're right. When he's near you it's like walking with people behind you and you think "don't walk funny, don't walk funny, don't walk funny" so you start walking with a limp. He's just trying to keep his mind his own instead of your's.

Of course, that's only if you can be sure he really only hums around you.

Is there such thing as minor tourette's syndrome?

Yes, it can cover the gamut of minor things like you suggest. In my case I inherited what my little sister calls "singing" from my grandmother. It's basically a form of tuneless humming under my breath, and I seem to do a lot of soft throat clearing, both of which I'm supremely unconscious till someone calls me on it, where I'm embarrassed to death. Then of course there's the very sad and tortuous situations of extreme tourettes, which runs the gamut of movements and yelling obscenities etc. As your plight seems to be linked to self confidence, you may want to have a chat with a doctor and find out if this stems from the physical malady or if it's something you can work on emotionally. You don't need to be gorgeous looking and hefting muscles to be self confident. :-) What I can tell you is that at my personal level it's NEVER stopped me from being happy and being accepted and I'm in my 50's. Nor has it increased too much. So hang onto that! Good luck!

Sexually attracted to step cousin?

So my step cousin and I are very close. Ever since I moved back to the same city as him, we ve been seeing each other more often. We re both teenagers. And we both clearly express in body language how we feel about each other. The only problem is that I m not sure what I feel? I figured, because we re both step cousin s, it s not considered incest if anything in that manner happens. But I also feel disappointed because we still are cousin s. We ve both known each other since we were wee little babies and I feel like we both want to know "more" about each other. The vibe around us both is getting more sexual each time we see each other. Is what I m feeling normal? Is it bad? Is it still considered incest if we re not biologically related? I just need someone s opinion on what I should do. Should I just get the urges over with and move on? Should I try my best to not let my urges take ahold? Any ideas??

My "boyfriend" said he had Tourette's?

I just started dating this guy who's very nice, and seemingly pretty normal. We had a personal conversation the other night, where he told me as a child, age 10 or 12 or so, (he's 27 now) doctor's thought he had a mild form of Tourette's syndrome.

I am a special education teacher, but while I know a lot about autism, cerebral palsy, and many other mental/physical illnesses, but I don't think Tourette's is classified as a mental/physical illness- it's just bouts of tics.

What does this mean? I heard Tourette's usually goes away for the most part as people age, and I don't notice a lot of strage behaviors with him, except clearing his throat a lot and laughing harder at things that many people wouldn't. But other than that he's very normal, attractive, nice, etc.

Will this affect our relationship? Is Tourette's hereditary?

Is Tourettes Guy really dead and does he really had tourette?

Okay. First, he was diangosed with Tourette's, but his symptoms subsided long before the videos were made. His actions on the videos were 1)horrible acting and 2)disgusting behavior born of his chronic alcoholism. His actions in no way at all represent those of the reality of people who have Tourette Syndrome. And yes, he did die.
Third: a bit of truth about Tourette Syndrome.
Contrary to the constant cursing and obnoxious, destructive behavior on the videos, I, a person who really has severe Tourette, find his actions extremely crude and disgusting.
Only about eight in a hundred people with TS will ever exhibit the symptom of cursing. Most only nod, grunt, sniff and twitch. And for those who do curse, it is extremely embarassing and is really hard to overcome. Imagine going in walmart and yelling 'N*gger' 'F*ck' 'S*n *f a b*tch' along with random barking, spitting, falling on the floor, squatting, hitting yourself...
THAT is my reality. I can't go to school, sometimes I can't walk, and sometimes I've made myself bleed from violent tics. I have to fling myself into the wall several times a day. I can't control it. If you did that all the time and could not help it, would you find it funny?
If you were the one who got embarassed when an insulted stranger glared at you? If you spat when trying to talk to someone? If you were considering the only real treatment left for your incurable condition- BRAIN SURGERY? Would you really find it so funny? I sure don't.
