Can I join the U.S. Army with a TILTED PELVIS?

I am currently 20 years old and wanting to join the Army, I have already talked to a recruiter and am going to probably sign the papers so I can go to MEPS.
I have a tilted pelvis. (NOT SCOLIOSIS) It just causes my one shoulder to be higher than the other. Does this DQ me??? :(
I was VERY active in high school doing wrestling for 4 years and ran track for 2 years. WITH NO BACK PAIN. I could run and wrestle just like all my teammates.
I even have a note that my chiropractor typed up stating that it does not cause me pain and I'm able to function as a normal human being.
Do I bring that note to MEPS as well?

What does it mean when your pelvis is 'tilted' due to a leg length discrepancy?

okay im no expert but believe me i went through this because they thought it was what was wrong with me but it wasn't so anyways..
what it means is that your pelvis on one side is tilted either up or down making one leg seem longer than the other. the hip bones that stick out on your torso...hold them and slightly rotate one and see how it makes one leg longer thats what it is (don't hurt yourself trying) its easier to have a physical therapist (pt) show you. im not sure if you will have to go to pt or wear a lift..i had to do both so i would go to your pt and ask them about it.

What does it mean to have a tilted uterus?

I had my first appointment today and while he was doing the internal exam he said my uterus was tilted forward. This is my 4th pregnancy and first time to be told it is tilted. Is it normal to not have a tilted uterus and then to have it tilt? He also did a vaginal U/S to date my pregnancy since I didn't know when I was due. I am 9 weeks. I am wondering if it will cause problems? I would love to hear stories for others who have gone though this. Thanks

Emergency c-section from tilted pelvis?

When I had my daughter in August, it was supposed to be a regular delivery with no complications. I quickly found out that my birth plan should have been tossed out the window, because nothing happened as I planned. I was induced with prostaglandin gel on my due date because I was starting to show signs of pre-eclampsia. The first application made the contractions come nicely, and I could handle them. But I guess they thought they weren't strong enough, and gave me another dose, which made the contractions go completely haywire. One contraction in particular lasted almost 10 minutes. The nurses didn't know what to do.

Anyway, fast-forward 18 hours, I ended up with an epidural, which was disappointing to me because I wanted to be able to walk around, since I was told that helps progress labor. But I wouldn't have been able to walk anyway, since I was stuck in bed from having high blood pressure.

After being stuck at 9cm for 2.5 hours, I was told I'd need a c-section because I had a tilted pelvis, and my daughter, with every contraction, was getting her head smooshed more and more into my pelvic bone. She was 8lbs 7oz when she was born, not too big and not too tiny, either. I never did get to experience pushing.

After she was born, the obstetrician said I'd never be able to have a natural delivery unless future babies were premature and weighed no more than 5 lbs, to pass safely through my pelvis.

Is there anything I could have done to prevent this from happening? I sort of feel that my chances for having a section increased in 2 ways: 1) being induced and 2)being restricted to my bed from the high blood pressure and the epidural. Or is there anything I myself can do so that I can "un-tilt" my pelvis? I'd really like to do a VBAC for my next baby down the road. Has anyone been diagnosed with a tilted pelvis and had a c-section, to go on to having a regular vaginal delivery with other babies?

How do i correct my anterior pelvic tilt?

I know something that just might help you. There is another, less-known form of chiropracty that is starting to really turn some heads. It's called "NUCCA" or National Upper Cervical Chiropractic Association. They believe that just by tweaking someone's neck (cervical area) they can relieve all sorts of pain, and even straighten out a person's crooked spine.

It sounds perfect for you, the way the nucca doctor explained it to me is like this: when your neck is misaligned, it puts pressure on the side of the spinal cord. When it does this, it causes other muscles all the way down the spine to tighten up, i think alternatingly. This causes pelvic tilt, a superficial 'short leg' and possibly pain. It sounds like this guy could really help you. Oh, actually it might not be the same guy, because i don't know where you live, but if you go to the website they have a way to find your nearest nucca doctor there. Good luck, and hope this helped! (watch the video on the front page of the website, it is very informative).
