Do I Have To Wear My Warfare Pin Navy

How do you get the Air Warfare pin (Navy)?

If you are talking about EAWS (Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist), then it is mandatory that you get that qualification, if you were in Naval Aviation Ratings (I think, but not 100% sure, with the exception of AW & AC).

If you are not in Aviation, but still want to get an EAWS; then you are going to have to qualify for your own 'Warfare' Qualification before your command would allow you to try to get a 2nd Warfare Qualification (ex: if you are on a ship, you will have to qualify for ESWS first). You can try to get the EAWS from carrier, air station, Small Boys (with Helicopter Detachment), Gators, or wherever that there is an Air Squadron/Detachment that would be willing to help you.

I got mine from a helicopter detachment while I was deployed on the same carrier as that detachment (I did it on my own, after I was already qualified for EWS & PJ, since I was not in Aviation).

NAVY - can you wear your enlisted Surface Warfare Pin when you get commissioned?

You may continue to wear your ESWS pin until such a time as you qualify as a Surface Warfare Officer.

If you happen to go into another designator (say Submarines) you'll be allowed to continue wearing it, all be it, in the subordinate position once you qualify in the designator you choose.

Can you wear the Navy's EAWS (Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist) pin in the Army's ACU uniform?

I just recently got out of the Navy as an E-5 and joined the Army. While I was in my Prior service I got my EAWS pin. I was wondering if I have to get it approved first and who I go to, to get it approved. Because I see online and at the base that they sell the Air Warfare pin with the ACU digital background and I have also seen Army service men and women wearing it as well. But when it comes down to it, its a Navy Warfare pin. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Navy: Is it worth getting an air warfare pin after you got your ESWS?

I got my ESWS after checking onboard the ship for 8 months. I'm no longer a junior sailor and went from E-1 to E-5 in a span of four years. Now I'm wondering what value if any would come from earning a second pin. I'm also getting out of the Navy and transitioning to civilian life.

What is the maximum number of warfare insignia's you can wear on your Navy dress uniform?

You can wear a max of 2 warfare devices on your uniforms. 1 above your ribbons which will be your primary (aviation command it will be EAWS, ship's company ESWS and as an aircrewman NAC will be on top) and your secondary will be on your pocket/below your ribbons. Again, your primary on top, and if you go aircrew then it would look like this, NAC on top, ribbons in middle and EAWS on bottom, no ESWS will be worn, but it will be stated in your title.

g. In accordance with AR 600–8–22, personnel must obtain authority from HQDA before wearing badges on the
uniform that were awarded by other U.S. Services, or by the Director of Civilian Marksmanship.
**************************************...
The following rules
apply when wearing badges from other U.S. Services.
(1) Military combat or special skill badges awarded by other U.S. Services that are similar to U.S. Army combat or
special skill badges are worn on the Army uniform in the same manner as U.S. Army combat or special skill badges,
only if no Army badges are authorized for wear in the same group. For example, a soldier who had no group 3 badges
could wear aviation badges awarded by the U.S. Air Force (USAF) as group 3 badges (as Army Aviation and Aviator
badges are worn). However, if the individual was authorized to wear an Army badge in group 3, the soldier would not
be authorized to wear the group 3 badge from the USAF.
(2) Skill badges awarded by other U.S. Services that are not similar to Army skill badges are worn as group 4
badges.
(3) Badges from other U.S. Services that indicate career fields are not authorized for wear, such as USAF medical
insignia, or badges used to identify the duty, function, or classification of the wearer. Some examples are USAF fire
protection, air training command instructor, security police, or the Naval aviation warfare specialist.
(4) Personnel will not wear badges awarded by other U.S. Services which, because of size or configuration, cannot
be worn as group 4 badges. Subdued embroidered or metal skill badges authorized for wear by another U.S. Service,
and that are authorized for wear on the Army uniform, may be worn on utility uniforms in the same manner as
prescribed for Army badges.
