Do I Need 2 Of These Amps For My 2 Kicker L7 4ohm Subs

What is the best amp for my 2 12" Kicker L7 4ohm with 750 rms and 1,500 watts peak?

Any good quality 1 ohm stable mono amp that produces something around 1500 rms.

The audioque aq1200d comes to mind. At 1 ohm it would give you at least 600w rms per sub. Good quality amp and a good buy at $250.

There's the Mbquart onx1.1500d that's around 1500w rms and is only 220 at sonicelectronix.

On a tight budget there's the Hifonics HFi1500d for <200.

There are a lot of other options - some of the high quality stuff will be $500+

Best amp to power 2 12'' kicker l7 4ohm subs?

i need your input on this, my first choice is hifonics mono amp but i am not too convinced on those i want a amplifier that is really push these suckers without frying them i just dont wanna bump them i want them to HIT ,thanks in advance to all

Best amp for two 12" L7 kicker subs?

Unfortunately, we do not know which subs you bought. You say 2 OR 4 ohm, which can be a bit of a problem.

However, the Collectives' consensus is that your going to want to pair it with a kicker amp for best effect and best match.

The Kicker ZXS1500.1 is the perfect match if you wire one dual 2 ohm sub in parallel and one in series, for a 2 ohm load. If you are using the dual 4 ohm subs, wire them in the same fashion, but get the ZXS2500.1, which will give you 1250 watts of power at 4 ohms.

Your absolute best bet if you have the option is to get the dual 2 ohm subs and the ZXS1500.1.
Go to Kickers website to determine box sizes, and make sure to get proper wiring according to manufacturers recommendations for your amplifier. In this case, your probably looking at 1/0 gauge wire.
The Collective also recommends a battery upgrade, perhaps an Optima Yellow Top battery, as well as the proper fusing.

Whats the perfect amp for 2 12'' Kicker L7 Subs?

two S12L74 = SX1250.1
two S12L72 = ZX1500.1

these are the two amps that Kicker recommends for the subs in their Sub-to-Amp Guide.

when considering the PERFECT amp remember that the power handling of the sub decreases in a ported enclosure so this will allow you to chose different amps depending on you application.
S12L7 = 750 watts RMS sealed
S12L7 = 600 watts RMS ported
so at the correct resistance a ZX1000.1 with a birth sheet near 1200 watts RMS @ 2ohm will be good or you could even find an older model KX1200.1 that will be good.

What type of amp would push 2 l7 15 kicker?

kicker zx2500 will make those subs pound so hard

but you will need more than 0g wire lol, also may need to upgrade your electrical system, well no matter what amp you get, your going to need to upgrade your electrical system, and 4g wire is NOT big enough for any amp you could get

those subs are 1000rms, so you need an amp that can give out at least 2000rms

and you never stated if those were dual 2 ohm, or dual 4 ohm subs

if their dual 4 ohm subs you want an amp that puts out 2000-2500 rms @ 1 ohm, and wire them to a single 1 ohm load

if they are dual 2 ohm, you want an amp that puts out 2000-2500 rms @ 2 ohms (kicker zx2500) wire the subs into a single 2 ohm load

and getting an amp for these subs will be very expensive, dont go with a cheap amp, you'll ruin everything

edit:

use the audioque aq2200d it will put out 2200rms @ 1 ohm, wire the subs in parrallel and it will present a 1 ohm load, the subs will each be getting 1100 rms watts

Whats the best amp for my 2 kicker l7 12 inch 2ohm with 750 rms and 1,500 watts peak?

2 kicker, L7, dual 2ohm, 750 watts rms each,.. dude, here was the best amp to find out without dropping you to the wrong choice, it is so clear that the total impedance of your woofer is 2ohms, so you need an amp that is 1500watts rms 2ohm stable,.. last few weeks ago, i install those subs in a suv, ported box, 4.5 cu.ft., i used rockford fosgate, T20001bd, power amplifier and its so great, 1500watts rms @ 2ohm stable, the signal where so clean and the music production is so great.. okey, theres a lot of amp back there dude, but we ain't sure how they sound like, be stick to the known branded like kicker and rockford fosgate to make yourself satisfy to what you want, either some are cheaper, but how it looks like, how it sounds like.. online dude, it help you out, i've proven it to myself coz, later, i was just like you, asking so many questions, here, email me dude, if you had some question, good luck..

Should I use a kicker zx750.1 amp with a 12" Kicker l7 wired at 2 ohms or should i keep it at 4 ohms?

Those subs can handle 750+watts RMS easily.
But,
As stated before, you'll ONLY be able to wire the sub to 4ohms. That amp puts out about 375watts RMS @ 4ohms, so the sub will get about 1/2 of its rated power.
How to wire a dual 2ohm sub to 4ohms (your only option);
http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer... -option #2, 4ohm load

If you can swap out the dual 2ohm sub for a dual 4ohm model, you will be able to get full power from the amp. This is your only option to be able to get full power.

It won't hurt anything to have the amp running at 1/2 power. The amp and sub will actually last a lot longer like this, as well as sounding a lot better b/c of a better damping factor.

What is the best amp for 2 2008 S12L7 12" L7 kicker Subwoofers?

STAY AWAY FROM LANZAR! Don't even consider that brand. Not only do the RMS don't match up, they have tiny fuses. You want an amp with 200-300amp fuses. You need a US Amps 2000x (on e bay for $600 right now) or ax2000. I just got a ax2000 to power my two DD subs which are 750rms/3000peak. The amp will give each sub up to 1000rms. The amp is a beast, and one of the best brands out there hands down. Plus it has a whopping 300amp fuse. This thing is pure power. I challenge anyone to find as legit an amp as the 2000x for less than $600. I would grab it while you can.

Does A L7 Kicker with 2 ohms better or is a L7 Kicker with 4 ohms better?

The reason there are different impedances for subs is for different amplifiers. IE: a single 4ohm sub is best for a 2channel amp, because 2channels can be bridged to 4ohms at the least. A single 2ohm sub is best for most mono amps as they can handle 2ohms at the least.

PEOPLE - those subs each have DUAL voice coils.

*For one sub, get the dual 2ohm sub and simply wire one coil to each output channel from the amp.

*For 2 subs, get the dual 4ohm subs and wire the coils on sub #1 in parallel (both +'s to amp +, both -'s to amp -) to the left output channel from the amp. Then, wire coil #2's coils in parallel to the right output channel from the amp.

Both above scenarios will get full power from the amp.

How to wire 2 DVC 4 Ohm subs to a 2 Ohm mono amp?

i have two kicker solo-baric L7 15" subs (08S15L7) they are 4ohm per voice coil and i want to wire then both to a single kicker 2500 watt amp (08ZX2500.1) it puts out 1250 watts at 4 ohms and 2500 watts at 2 ohms, i need to know how to wire it all up so i can run it at 2 ohms for maximum power.

(2) Kicker L7 15" 1000 watts RMS 2000 watts Peak
(1) Kicker ZX2500 @ 2 ohms for peak power of 2500 watts

Thank you in advance
