How is iOS 8's performance on the iPad mini 1st gen?
I've upgraded on my iPhone 5, and for the most part it's fine, aside from a few bugs, but the iPad mini 1st gen has a slower processor so I'm kind of scared to upgrade it. For anyone who has the same iPad and has upgraded it to iOS 8, is it a slow piece of crap now or does it actually work well? Thanks.

Hey, today is my birthday and I'm thinking about getting the iPad Mini 1st Generation. Do you think it's worth getting? I have a few questions. How is the screen display from 1 to 10? 1 being bad, and 10 being great. (Since I heard it doesn't have retina display) Is ios 7 slow on iPad Mini 1st generation? Was 16 GB enough storage for you? Which one would you recommend. The iPad Mini 1 or the IPod Touch 5th Generarion (I'm on a budget, so it's between those two). Please help me decide, I'll be going to the store in a few hours and I don't wanna be disappointed with whatever I purchase.

Your iPad has an A5 processor, which there are hardware exploits for. The downgrade would be tethered, meaning that the iPad can't boot without a computer. There's also no program like redsn0w which can tethered boot, so you'll have to find a way to patch the LLB and iBoot out of their signature checks each time it boots up, or upload a patched iBSS and iBEC each time.
