Do Music Producers Check Youtube For New Talent

Do music producers make the beats/instrumentals of songs?

Some do some don't, a producer does the recording mainly some of them do write music or make beats for example Daniel Lanois, Dr Dre, Eno, T Bone Burnett are a few that often help a band with some music of there own. But quite often the producer does the recording mixing and gives ideas ect along with a good sound engineer So don't worry to much about being able to write music it is not essential to being a producer check out these sites

How can I get my cousin discovered? Where do music producers search for new talents?

Discovered or Working? You have to figure that there are several hundred million songs created every year. So even the greatest voice with the most perfect song stands little chance of rising above the noise.I'm not saying that it can't or won't happen, just that it's a monumental endeavor. The best you/she can do, is to get to work. Because “you can't win if you don't play” and “the harder you work, the luckier you get” (and all those other great motivational posters). I can tell you there are probably 1000+ producers and musicians on Craigslist RIGHT NOW with “looking for female vocalist” ads posted.I produce, I'd give her a shot. The more work she does, the more people she works with and cross promotes with, the more people will hear her - the better chance of making a living with her talent. My friend Jovana Djordjevic in Serbia makes her living as JOVANA| Demo singer,Female vocalist, session singer for hire She sings anything she's paid to, she works hard, and stays very busy. Will Jovana knock Beyonce off the charts? Probably not. But she's making a living with her art, which is no small accomplishment.Yeah, if your cousin works hard, always does her best work, and has some talent - she can do OK. Being the next Katy Perry or Taylor Swift? You never know.

How can one get signed to a record label as a music producer?

Treat music like business. Where are people finding your genre of music? Many times, I produce Future Bass. So i will be intrested in question, “Where people are going for future bass songs?”. Is it from youtube, is it soundcloud or is it spotify. Identify where the audience cones from and target it with your music.Make avprofessional, unique sounding music. Make sure your mixes are as loud as professional tracks and you don’t sound like any amateur artist.Promote your music in a different way. If your friend makes youtube videos, tell him to use one of your songs in his vidoes and make sure he puts your name & channel link in credit section. So if viewers like music, they can check out your channel. You can actually pay a youtuber to use your music in their videos. If you are not a big artist, release a remix of a fresh song before you release your original. This can get you a significant amount of traffic on your channel as people will be searching remixes of that song and if they like your remix, that subscribe button should be irresistable for them. You can name your song after a well known song. If viewers are searching that song on youtube, your song will also pop out along with that song. That increases your chances to be recognised.Hope this helps.I got this tips from Zen World on his blog Evosounds. Check him out on youtube, he is amazing.Aaditya.Peace out!!!

How can I upload music on YouTube without getting copyright infringement?

In doing a search, I haven’t found a definitive, “one-stop shopping” answer to your question. Based on what I’ve found, a person posting famous songs on YouTube:may actually be violating copyright, but the copyright holder tacitly allows the use. Some indie musicians are more interested in their music becoming widely known than in preventing people from sharing it.may be violating copyright, but the copyright holder isn’t able to protect their copyright for some reason (financial, physical disability, legal dispute over copyright ownership, can’t prove copyright ownership, etc.).the copyright holder may not be a participant in YouTube’s Content ID (CID) program. YouTube automatically checks for violations on behalf of CID members. Other copyright holders may need to search for violators on their own.all famous songs aren’t covered by copyright. Content published before 1923, after 1922 and before 1978 without the (c) notice, and after 1922 and before 1964 with (c) notice but not renewed after 28 years is in the public domain. This content isn’t covered by copyright. The copyright holder may have given permission to a specific YouTuber to use their music. When creating your own YouTube videos, it’s best to use music provided by YouTube, stock music for which you have a license, or music known to be in the public domain. Even if you use music (other video content, images, etc.) that doesn’t require you to identify the source, I recommend keeping track of the source in case your use is challenged.

Got scouted by a talent agent? please help?

Disclosure: I have a lot of videos of me singing on my youtube!
I just got a message on youtube that this producer is Skyler Lexx is looking for some talent (it was a very professional looking message just trying to summarize) and the girl said she was a scout for him and provided his website and asked how she can reach my parents to discuss my talent.
I went to the site and googled around and it seems pretty legit. but what do you think? is it okay if I let her talk to my dad (since it's not me and he's obviously an adult that knows best for me?)

thanks!

I was contacted by Ashley Camden if that makes a difference
