Do Crest white strips work? Do I brush my teeth before and after I put them on?

If you are really unhappy with the results after using the entire kit, you can think about going with NiteWhite (a take-home product that the dentist can give you) or Zoom (which is done in his office). I am so sorry that the person here told you to walk into your dentist office and buy bleach for 10 or 15 dollars. That is not the case. Perhaps if you are already bleaching in his office and you stop by to get refills, but not initially. It is a few hundred dollars to start. They have to take impressions and custom make you some trays to wear. Crest white Strips are much cheaper and work great. If you have a Costco nearby, it is cheaper to buy the big pack. You will use way more than ten. Usually you do it for about two weeks. Whatever you have left over can be for the times you touch them up. I recommend (after you have reached your desired shade) to just touch them up right after your six month dental cleaning, so they are fresh. Also, if you can just buy the regular ones it might be cheaper, it does not have to be the new 3D. And no, they are not harmful to the teeth or us dental professionals would not be recommending them and they would not be on the market. If anything, you may have cold sensitivity right after, but that is short lived. It is safe and the best on the market right now besides getting it professionally done. Please just stay away from those spas that do whitening, those are not dental professionals and it is dangerous. Good Luck....remember Costco. ohhh PS......Costco is also a good place to get an Oral-B electric toothbrush, really helps with keeping them polished up nice.
Does crest 3d white strips hurt teeth?
I'm using them right now and they hurt me. I bought the intensive professional effects kit which is there top whitening kit. You leave it on for 2 hours and it only takes 7 days to fully whiten. (so the box says; im only on day two) The first strip I used after about an hour and a half i got a really sharp pain in one of my teeth so i pulled it off right away. the second strip i got the sharp pain a couple times but only for about half a second each time. once i pulled the strips off I was still getting the random sharp pains, its not unbearable its just bothersome. Brushing my teeth really hurts my gums though. Im also using the crest 3d white luxe toothpaste and mouth wash and both really hurt after using the strips, but only because the strips made my gums really sensitive. So while I dont think it's damaging my teeth at all, it does hurt a fair amount. Overall I would recommend the crest 3d white intensive professional effects kit, its the most expensive strip they offer, but in the two days i've been using it accompanied by the crest 3d luxe toothpaste and mouthwash I've seen a huge difference in my teeth. This is actually the first kit where I've actually seen a difference. so while it does hurt, it works.

(former dental assistant)Here is what I can tell you about bleaching: not everyone gets the same result: some people’s enamel accepts the bleach, and some people have a harder/longer time to get a result, and some get none: I was lucky: I had mine done for free at my dental job. that was 1996. I have only touched them up for a week twice over the last 23 years. I am blonde, so my teeth had a natural yellow color to them. I got a very good result, in fact they were so white they looked fake, like chicklets. Eventually they toned down but remained very white. It depends on your enamel, and the product you are using.I hate to give you the “I have a friend……” answer, but one of the physicians I worked for had a very white beautiful smile, and it’s kinda one of my things, so I complimented her on her white teeth, and she said: “Thank you: Crest White Strips” I said “Really!? I didn’t think store bought stuff worked that well.”Mind you: I have no idea what shade she started out as, so maybe she already had white teeth, but just made them whiter for some “bling”; and I also don’t know if she got that result with one kit, or it took her a year of bleaching.The other thing: use as directed: people think doing it longer than the recommended time will yield a faster result. Do crest white strips work on naturally yellow teeth?
I bought the Crest 3D White strips ( 2 hour express ) and I really wanted them to work. Unfortunately they didn't. I also had yellow teeth. I couldn't even see any difference. So in my opinion they don't worth $50. Using a good whitening toothpaste helps a lot more than the strips actually. I use Aim White now. You see results even after you brush your teeth with it once. Another great product with a bleacher in ( like the strips ) is the 5 Minute Speed whitening gel. It's really inexpensive and it works great. Gluck
