Do The Electives You Choose For High School Matter For College

Do colleges consider your high school electives based on your major?

No. In general admissions credit analysis is prior to and completely independent from selection and admission to a baccalaureate major which takes place well after admission to the college.

What elective should I take in high school?

I'm going to be a high school freshman next year and I'm very flummoxed on the classes, especially the electives, I should take. I have three electives in mind, but I'm not sure what to take. I was wondering to take it so it would look good on my college applications and that it would be useful later in college, career, and life. The three electives are listed below with the reasons that I should join it:

- Photography: This elective sounds very useful. I was thinking that if I took this class, it would make me applicable. However, I'm not sure if it make me very successful.

- Computer Graphics: This sounds very fun and easy. My friends wanted me to join, but I'm not whether I should join at all. It seems very nice, anyways.

- Drama: From the last 2 electives, this elective seems really cool and probably rewarding. I'm not sure if it would look very great on my college applications.

How many elective courses can you take in college?

It depends what you want to do with those courses. If you plan to transfer to a 4 yr college or university you have to have certain courses. But if you just wanna go there for the hell of it, then you can take as many as you want.
