How do you pronounce the name Dylan?

*I am 3 months pregnant with twins (don't know the sexes yet though).

I live in the US with my husband but, I am originally from Jamaica. So, I pronounce things differently than Americans. People ask me what names am I considering for my twins. I say a few names and then I mention Dylan. Where I am from, we pronounce it Die-lahn. When I say it, people are always like "What? Ohhhh, you mean Dill-en." I'm like "Nooooo. That's not what I mean." I really love the name but reconsidering using it because I don't want one of my twins correcting people all the time on the pronunciation of his name.

Honestly, if you were in my position how would feel about using that name?

Is Dylan a Christian name?

I'm not sure. It's a name strongly associated with Wales, and common there….. Dylan Thomas, rather than Bob Dylan is a a main inspirationDid you mean “Christian “ as in Fristname / Surname? I weirdly just assumed you meant A biblical Christian name…But it's not mentioned in the bible. It's not Bob Dylans lat name by birth , his surname is Zimmerman. It is more commonly used as a first name, its not a particularly common surname, but it's not super rare either. So it can be a a Christian name, or surname. I'm certain it is not mentioned in the old or new testament at all. Hopefully I've given a thorough answer now
