How do you pronounce the name Dylan?
*I am 3 months pregnant with twins (don't know the sexes yet though). I live in the US with my husband but, I am originally from Jamaica. So, I pronounce things differently than Americans. People ask me what names am I considering for my twins. I say a few names and then I mention Dylan. Where I am from, we pronounce it Die-lahn. When I say it, people are always like "What? Ohhhh, you mean Dill-en." I'm like "Nooooo. That's not what I mean." I really love the name but reconsidering using it because I don't want one of my twins correcting people all the time on the pronunciation of his name. Honestly, if you were in my position how would feel about using that name?

I've known several people named Dylan and have never heard jokes about the name. Most people I know would association Dylan with a good looking guy (original 90210, anyone?)

My personal preference on this would be Ashley. Although Dylan is technically a gender neutral name, in recent years it has been more popular as a boys name than as a girls.
