Do You Repair 9850 Call-in Dictation System

Why do cassette tape recordings sound so flat?

Well actually a flat response variation is exactly what wngineers have tried to achieve by improving on a fundamentally flawed recording process. The recording of audio signals through magnetic vatiations onto tape will have an intrinsic tilt towards the higher frequencies because it is the speed of variation of magnetic field that induces a current in proportion to that. As higher frequencies have a higher speed or rate of change, then they'll come out loudest on a tape.To fix this oversaturation towards the higher frequencies a low pass filter is placed after the heads on playback so that the sound heard is more balanced. It is also true that noise reduction and tape bias and equalisation switches need to be set correctly on recording and noise reduction needs to be set correctly on playback along with equalisation as bias only matters during recording.Newer tape decks can detect the equaliser setting by the cassette tape holes in the top edge of the tape.Cassette tape heads have been improving as have the dolby system from b to c to s versions. This means that old tapes can be played back with a clearer sound that is less flat than on older cassette decks. It alsk means that recording nowadays onto good quality tape from the 80s has a clarity and brilliamce so close to CD that it is virtually indistinguishable. We are talking of sognal to noise ratio as high as 88dB compared to 95 for CD and only 50dB for old tape players. Records typically are 77dB.Tapes can also reproduce frequencies as high as 19 kHz but most people cannot hear tgat high once they pass 12 years of age !Further to this. . Some decks have electronic processing to give older tapes a nore brilliant sound by ensuring a frequency fall off that is smooth rather than abruptly falling at higher frequencues. OS X El Capitan is taking very long to install. How do I speed up this process?

If you are yet to start the install and you've read somewhere that it might take very long to install, then please - rephrase your question. There is just a couple of things you could do to help the installation, but it usually should take up to one (1) hour to finish. Else , you can reach help deskAnd at last if you actually mean that it takes very long to download - then you again don't have much you can do - just relax and wait for it to finish. As far as I'm aware recently Apple switched to requested installs - you agree to install something and a request goes to Apple, then at some point in near future (might be straight away) you get a response from Apple and the system updater starts to download, followed by the install. So you might be in this in-between state of waiting for the response. Apple's servers are probably getting quite a lot of requests all at once and they've decided to respond slower to some that to others.El Capitan (Spanish for The Captain, The Chief) is a vertical rock formation in Yosemite National Park, located on the north side of Yosemite Valley, near its western end. The granite monolith extends about 3,000 feet (900 m) from base to summit along its tallest face and is one of the world's favorite challenges for rock climbers and BASE jumpersSource link : El Capitan - Wikipedia

What is the use of virtual assistant?

Employers from a variety of industries employ virtual assistants to perform a diverse array of tasks. Usually based out of a home office or call center, with access to a phone, fax, computer and Internet, virtual assistants perform tasks similar to those of administrative assistants and secretaries in traditional offices. Many virtual assistants are highly skilled and adaptive to technology; as a result, they increase overall efficiency in a small business or for an independent entrepreneur.CorrespondenceVirtual assistants are ideal for answering emails and responding to routine phone calls. While much of this work will vary little from week to week, the need can increase around the holidays, when business people want to send out courtesy holiday cards to contacts and colleagues.SchedulingIn addition to simply maintaining his employer's calendar, a virtual assistant can contact people for multi-party conference calls and online meetings. He can also be the main point of communication for meeting attendees who require technical information or guidance.Electronic FilingEven in a "paperless" office, there are documents to be filed -- digitally. The virtual assistant can efficiently archive email, maintain a complex electronic folder system, and be the main repository for important information that comes to the office.Online ResearchVirtual assistants can research and summarize their findings on any number of searchable topics -- from flight and travel options, industry news, new competitors in the marketplace, and background information for speeches.Travel ArrangementsThe tedium of booking flights, hotels and looking for the best deal -- which can be a huge money-saver when done right, but is time consuming -- is an easy job to delegate to a virtual assistant.Presentations and SpreadsheetsMany virtual assistants will have access to up-to-date presentation and word-processing software. They can create reports, charts and graphs to illustrate data. When his employer is going to address a group, a virtual assistant can create a digital slideshow.Bookkeeping and Specialized TasksSince virtual assistants are often well-educated with individual skill sets, they can have their duties customized to their specific qualifications. Virtual assistants with financial backgrounds may do bookkeeping, for example, while others can layout fliers or forms.

Okay, unlike quite a few, I wouldn't suggest you to ditch your smartphone...I guess, if you are asking this question - you don't really want to do that...So, spending some quality-time on Facebook and WhatsApp aside, you can try the following:-Install Quora. What's going on with Donald Trump? What did he do?

First of all, Trump likes to run his mouth. A lot. He has no filters; he doesn't care about compassion, courtesy, or common sense. He says something, and he says it in way that is supposed to sound like he's no-nonsense, but it's just crude and tasteless.Second, Trump likes to over-estimate himself. He claims that his business experience makes him qualified to be President, except:You can't run a government like a business. That's why it's called "government" and not "corporation".He's filed bankruptcy four times, and did so in a shady manner so that his personal assets were exempt from the liquidation. In other words, he has ripped off a lot of people that he signed contracts with.He has no experience nor talent for diplomacy. A leader of a country has to negotiate, and he is not able to do that in good faith. He's already alienated huge sections of the population. A population he is expected to represent and work toward their best interests. He won't be able to work with Congress. Whenever he is opposed even a little bit, he threatens to sue the other party. There is no debate with him, it's "his way or the highway". That's not the way to treat legislators.Third, Trump is just a very horrible person. He's cheated on all of his wives and made his divorce proceedings public in order to shame them into taking a reduced settlement. There are reports that he refused to support his own children, except when he tries to get charges against them dropped. He threatens to sue anyone who tells him "no".  He holds grudges for a long time, related to arguments or disagreements that he decided to take public; he's declared truce in most of these disagreements, only to come right back and start his personal attacks again. He is extremely impatient and uncompromising with other people, while expecting others to treat him in the opposite manner. In short, he is a very immature person with a penchant for public temper tantrums.Personally, I have a rule regarding politicians: I won't vote for someone I wouldn't let sleep on my couch. Not only would I not do that for Trump, I wouldn't even let him park in my driveway.

Why do doctors lie on patient records?

To make money. My mom and I both work in the dental field. I am a dental assistant, (Seasonally, when I'm not in school, to get experience for when I will later apply for dental school.) for those of you who don't know, assistants take xrays and help with the doctors exams/treatment, and at every office I have worked at, we also have to do our own notes. My mom, being a hygienist, cleans the teeth and has her own set of notes, and for adults she takes perio numbers. Periodontis is hard to explain but basically she measures the size of pockets between teeth and gun tissue with a small device in mm. If someone has deep pockets, they need a more in depth kind of cleaning called an SRP. If someone needs an SRP, it costs more money and you sometimes need to come in more frequently than 6 months. Typically people do not notice the cost difference because their insurance covers most of it.So, my mon started working at a new office and they had her doing A LOT of SRP's. Typically they aren't very common, and this office had her doing 2–3 a day. She also has other friends who are hygienists so she talks to them about these situations to better understand them herself. The doctor she worked for would tell her to do an SRP if even by her training and schooling, the patient did not need one. She tried multiple times to tell the doctor she disagreed but he wanted her to do it. So one Friday she has to do an SRP, even though the man has low, normal numbers. Sge charts his numbers then later when talking to another friend of hers, they discuss the way they chart. Her friend tells her about an easier way, and my mom wanted to try it. So Monday morning comes and she goes back into the mans chart to change the charting, and she notices something, the numbers had been changed.Normal is 1–3s. This man had all 2–3 and a single 4. The numbers had been changed to all in the 4–5 range. So she started writing down the numbers on paper and going back later to see if they got changed, and it kept happening. This doctor was committing insurance fraud. He wanted to make more money on deep cleanings and knew the insurance wouldn't pay for it if the numbers were low, so he changed them. These records were then submitted to the insurance company, and everything looked right, so they'd cover the cost of the SRP, making him more money.Needless to say, she left that office very soon.

Is typing on an iPad easy?

I've become quite good at it. I bought a first-gen iPad in 2010, and I've been using them since.I’ve also used iPhones since 2012. I found early on that if I typed with my two thumbs as fast as I could and just got as close to the keys as I could my accuracy on the iPhone would be amazingly high. ← I typed the previous sentence at full speed with just my two fat thumbs on my iPhone. 100% accuracy (in this case) due to autocorrect. Yes, autocorrect. With everyone complaining about it, who knew how amazing it truly is?On to the iPad. When I'm using the on-screen keyboard (OSK), I type with my two pointer fingers. I haven't measured, but I'd guess I'm able to type at roughly 40 words per minute on the glass using autocorrect and predictive words (the suggested words that pop up). That's not bad, considering! I've tried “touch” typing (you have to look at the keyboard), and it works. It's just that I'm more comfortable in this case pecking with two fingers. On a real keyboard, I'm a touch typist.By the way, I don't get sore fingers when tapping on the glass because I use a light touch. It doesn't take much. The 12.9″ iPad Pro OSK is even better because it has a number row. I also use dictation on both my iPhone and iPad quite a bit.Typing on a Bluetooth or other external keyboard on the iPad is just as easy as using a keyboard with anything else. There are even keyboard shortcuts in apps that support them. Hold down the COMMAND key to see them. COMMAND-TAB even works to switch apps. If you're using a Bluetooth keyboard made for Windows, then the COMMAND key is the Windows key.
