Do you think Horse Racing should be banned?
I know this is not the popular opinion but please hear me out before the veins in your neck burst out! There are many hooked gamblers, many jockeys that have been killed and many horses have been destroyed. Is the sport of Kings more important?
My AQHA has Man O War... What about your horse?
I was looking at my horses pedigree online via http://www.allbreedpedigree.com and I was shocked to see man o war. I know there has to be more horses like mine who have man o war in them, but I still think it is pretty cool. Who does your horse have?
Is horse racing cruel?
Personally I think steeple chasing and jumping can be viciously cruel, because horses are not supposed to jump over high fences sprinting extremely fast times in competition with each other. I believe horses that compete in steeple are doomed. It's not really everyone's view, however we see the decline in the last ten years or so of events that include steeple chase or jumping. Equestrian I actually know nothing about. I do know plenty of people who partake in equestrian as a solid (expensive) hobby and enjoy it immensely, and not just that, the horses are better cared for than their owners!Same with A grade horse racing which you see on television and all of us discuss here. Sprint and long distance horses NEED to be taken care of in order to produce good results. You can go see the trainers train them and jockeys riding at dawn and some dusk sessions five times weekly when one can visually observe how amazingly healthy these beasts are!They have swimming pools, ample rest spaces, muscle development trainers and diet regimes , owners who pay first class travel (especially Saudi horses) and board.Would you perform as well under pressure without your creature comforts? Horses don't either. These are my reasons that horse racing on the track you see on television is very very rarely cruel in any way.

Sunny - hes an irish sports horse and i named him sunny because you have to smile when you say it :) At least with my accent anyway :) im from northern ireland btw lol
