I do see a strong family resemblance between the two of you, but not so similar I'd ever get the two of you confused. Its also possible both of you have similar height/body type but I can't really tell that from the photos. You also look a bit more mature than 15. This is not a bad thing but also might contribute to the two of you looking somewhat alike. She does look older than you but there is not as much age difference to me in appearance than there is in reality. A lot of "looks" also come from body language, posture and they way you carry yourself. If you both have similar mannerisms in person that would also make you both seem more alike. Both of you are very pretty so I'd just take the remarks as a compliment.

(1)Well, they say that she looks like your niece coz you still look like a cool student! (17 yrs-23 yrs)rather than a mother. It's actually a partial compliment. Even I think you look extremely young and cool-adjectives that ladies usually don't hear as they have children (2) She surely resembles the pic when you were 5 . But, infact, she'll look prettier when she reaches your age. If you're a true mother by heart, you'd love! to hear that your baby looks better than you. (3)Difference of features? Only the eyes-Your eyes are really amazing!, but your daughter's are a little more bigger even more wonderful. You're lucky to have her. Have fun with her. Why do you think most couples look alike?
Biology. We subconsciously mimic those around us in order to establish a 'sameness' or common ground. If you are with someone every day, that mimicry will include the way you dress, speak, groom yourself, wear jewelry, etc. It's all a big biological game of equality.
