Does Anybody Know Any Good Screenings Sites To See Movies In Nyc

Have you ever been to an advance screening?

I've only been to one before. Advance screening is different from a premiere, so you probably won't see the stars there or anything like that. It depends on the movie and where you are, but they might have the local studio rep or distributor on hand and they might say something ahead of time...also, it might be a pre-release version that is not the final edit and might have some awkward transitions. The one I went to didn't give anything away that I can remember, but who knows if different studios do things differently.

Does anyone know where I could get the movie Glitterati, the movie made with cut footage from Rules of Attract?

From Wikipedia : "The film was screened on New Years Eve 2006 in Paris, for a film society known as the Perforated Mexicans. During an interview in French Premiere, Avary openly called the film "ethically questionable" and stated that he has no intention to release it on DVD, but only to show it privately in "sporadic surprise screenings". Bret Easton Ellis described its status as "for many legal reasons, it will never see the light of day" as it's "basically about 90 minutes of him (Pardue) actually in character seducing women throughout Europe."[1]"

Looks like you will never see it. Also check out the IMDB boards where they also talk about.

Has anyone heard anything about the movie "Club Satan"?

The Satanic forces are uniting behind the first-ever Satanic porno movie, "Club Satan: The Witches' Sabbath". This film was overseen by an actual priest in the Church Of Satan, and includes a real Black Mass, the likes of which has not been caught on tape since Anton LaVey's "Satanis" more than 30 years ago.

From start to finish "Club Satan" has involved true Satanic Warriors — from director Shane Bugbee, to star and producer Matt Zane, black metal legends DARK FUNERAL who make their film debut in this movie, and Extreme Associates, the most controversial porn company in the world, whose owners are currently facing life in prison for the movies they have released.

DARK FUNERAL not only stars in "Club Satan: The Witches Sabbath", but also contributes its song "King Antichrist" to the movie soundtrack. The scenes featuring the band were shot before and during their show at the Key Club in Hollywood, California on January 21, 2007.

The director's cut of "Club Satan: The Witches' Sabbath" will be screening on Walpurgis Night (April 30) a high Satanic holiday that has been a celebration of the witch for hundreds of years . Ths screenings will take place at the following locations:

* New York City: MF Gallery - 157 Rivington St. (917) 446-8681
* Chicago: Odd Obsession - 1822 N. Milwaukee. (773) 276-0894 After-party at: Exit - 1315 W North Ave, Chicago, 60622 (773) 395-2700

Is Titanic 2: Jack's Back a Real Movie?

100% fake

The trailer you're friend is talking about was made around 7 years ago and is loads of film clips cut together to make a fake Titanic 2 trailer.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nK_Jv4RIz...

There is actually a new movie called Titanic II due for release later this month but it's a straight to DVD cheap disaster movie which has nothing to do with James Cameron's movie.

Just in case anyone tries to tell you it's real just ask yourself why the full 5 minute All Star Cast trailer is 7 years old yet the film has never been released.

Also do you think it is even remotely possible to survive 2.5 miles underwater for 100 years?

How long does a movie typically stay in theaters?

There's no "typical" answer - films stay in theatres as long as they're still making money.If you look at any Box Office chart (Here's an example: Weekend Box Office) you'll see lots of films in their first week or two, to films that have run for more than a year (Educational 3D IMAX films for science centers often have very long runs since they cycle between locations regularly, and don't have the same pressure of new films coming out every week).It's also different based on time period and location (for example more contemporary smash hits like "Titanic" or "Avatar" both ran for ~40ish weeks. But back in the early 90s runs of >70 weeks for smashes like "Jurassic Park" were more common because there were fewer theatre screens overall, and much less home video, so even though fewer people were seeing movies overall they ran for longer periods of time).I think "Jurassic World" was the highest grossing film to open and complete it's theatrical run in 2015, at 23 weeks - so that would probably be a good high water mark for a modern big budget tent-pole film - but there's lots of smaller indie films that run for longer periods on fewer screens ("The Lady in the Van" at the same time ran for 27 weeks, but for all but 9 weeks of that was playing on less than 100 screens). It's also notable that home video windows are much shorter now so that it's common that films will be wildly available on other platforms within 20 weeks of theatrical release - which usually dramatically affects theatrical demand.On the other end of the spectrum there's absolutely movies that don't even finish their first full week - because their opening weekend was so bad, the screens got flipped over to better performing titles.I do find it interesting that in North America, length of box office run isn't nearly as prestigious as it is in some other countries. I noticed when I was shooting a film in France that many theatres there made a much bigger deal of how many weeks their films had been holding - some had the number of weeks listed on the marquee, and one was even advertising to get people to come see a film so they could keep it running another week and set a record for longest film run at that venue.(Edited 2018 - updated with final box office information from 2015)
