Does Anyone Know What Type Of Fish This Is

Does anyone know what this fish is called?

Recently my betta died (from ich; I treated him but it was too far advanced) and now we're looking to get another type of fish.

When I was little I had four or five little neon stripped fish. They were cute and I'd really like to try that type of fish again. Only problem is...I can't remember the name of them nor can I find them through Google.

I thought maybe they were "neon tetras" but after looking online through picture after picture of them I'm convinced those aren't the fish I once had. My fish had one single neon stripe down their spine. One fish had a neon pink stripe, the other a neon green stripe, and others had neon blue, neon yellow, etc. Neon tetras seem to only have a neon blue stripe and red tails.

I did, however, find this picture online:

http://www.ischo.com/china/photos_07.05....

The picture is from China (and I'm from America), in case that matters. These fish aren't EXACTLY like the ones I had. Like I said, the neon stripe only followed their spine...it didn't wrap around under their bellies but the neon stripes are the same color. And, the fish I had were about half the size of these.

Can anyone please tell me what fish I'm thinking of? :) Thanks in advance. :)

Does anyone know a type of cichlid fish that will grow to a size of 6" maximum but will still eat feeder fish?

Yes.... and why? Feeder fish are not nutritious, carry diseases and parasites,and... depending on which "feeder fish" it is... carry thiaminase which causes vitamin deficiencies in cichlids.

Everything from Convicts to Firemouths to Rainbows To Blue Acara grows to 6"... and any cichlid will eat fish that will fit its mouth and can be caught.Just that most are opportunistic omnivores that will naturally eat fish doesn't mean they need them.

Does anyone know the tuna fish monologue and can type it up or give me a website it is on?

You need to be more specific--all I know is the play "Greater Tuna" a Tourdeforce by two guys that play all the roles.

Does anyone know what kind of fish this is? (photo included)?

Does anyone have information about fish..?

Ronak, you must pose your questions here at Quora in a more specific manner. You can't just write a question like that "Does anyone have information about fish?" THAT is too general. After all: YOU are on the Internet! There is ALL kinds of information "about fish". In fact there is so much information about fish that you can spend the rest of your life reading, hearing and watching videos about it! So, try your best and ask specific questions to certain details. Ask questions that you haven't gotten answered with google or other search engines. Give as much background information about your question's theme as possible. The more details you supply the better for others to answer your question.Good luck.

Does anyone of you have a goldfish which you keep in a fish bowl? If yes, can you send me a few pictures of it? Also, can you place a table lamp, a light bulb, or a torch near the mouth of the bowl and click a picture of it too?

I would advise you against it. I have been there, done that and I repent treating goldfishes like decor. Do you know how long Gold fishes can live? In the wild they survive till 25 years and pets can live only upto 10 years. Do you know how long will they survive in a bowl? May be 3–4 months, a year at max. Don’t you think it’s inhuman?Let me give the reasons of why bowls can be the worst things for fishes(any fish at all. I wouldn’t even keep bettas in them):Bowls don’t have enough space to host a filtration system because any decent filtration system will take up all the space in it leaving no swimming space. Don’t fall for the tiny filters they say are meant for bowls, they simply don’t work.Gold fishes release a huge amount of waste, and you cannot change the water daily. Even changing a lot of water has huge implications on the water dynamics and puts the fishes to stress because of change in water parameters. They grow a lot and tend to get huge. Visit a Gold fish tank at a local fish aquarium, you will get an idea.Goldfishes require a lot of oxygen, but bowls don’t provide the minimum surface area for a good amount of oxygen exchange. Oxygenating the tank doesn’t help much either because in a small tank it’s going to create a lot of current which will make it hard for the fishes to swim.If you are willing to buy even a large bowl, I know what are the largest ones out there, and they do no good to any fishes at all. The largest might still be do okay for bettas.A goldfish tank should look like this, believe me no less than that.

Does anyone know how many chambers are in a fish, amphibian, reptile or birds heart?

Fish have 2 major chambers (one auricle and one ventricle, plus one sinus venosus - before the auricle - and a conus arteriosus - after the ventricle). However, in the lungfishes there is a partial separation of both the main chambers, linked to the existence of a pulmonary blood circuit.
Amphibians have two auricles and one ventricle, and the latter has deep "pockets" where oxygenated and deoxygenated blood goes, so that these two blood volumes do not mix much while each flows through its respective circuit.
Reptiles... well, there is no such thing as a "reptile" really but rather three different groups. Both the turtles and the squamates (lizards and snakes) have two auricles and one ventricle, and the latter is partially separated by a spiral septum so that the pulmonary and body circuit do not usually mix (except in special circumstances).
Crocodiles are related to birds, and just like them, they have a four chambered heart, with two auricles and two ventricles. However, in crocs the oxygenated and deoxygenated blood can get mixed because they have a hole between the paired main blood vessels that leave the heart.
Both birds and mammals have also four-chambered hearts with completely separate pulmonary and body circuits.
Check the link, there are good schematic illustrations and explanations for each taxon.

Are there any fish that don't have bones?

"invertebrates" for instance; Sharks, Rays Hag fish, Skates ,and Cuttlefish are all boneless animals. These are animals that have cartilage instead of bones. Many of these like the Sharks, Rays and Skates could be on the endangered species list, so if you are looking to catch any of those, check the local fish and wildlife before fishing!

Does Anyone Know What Kinda Gear Jeremy Wade Uses for Fishing?

"I'm not sponsored by anybody, but I do have 2-speed Tyrnos 30 provided by Shimano, which is a great all-round heavy-duty reel. But I've also used reels by Policansky (South African), Abu and Penn. I used to build my own rods, but nowadays a 9.5ft saltwater 'uptide' rod with casting weight of 4-8oz or 6-10oz will handle a lot of the fishing I do, and is not too pricey either. For ultra-heavy fishing (sharks, rays, Amazon catfish) I have a 7ft 50-80lb-class rod that was built for me by a friend in the tackle trade. I often use this with a Shimano Tiagra 50. And I've just acquired a 5.5ft shark rod that I wish I had last year." -Jeremy Wade
