Help! Loreal Feria turned my hair orange!?
If you're taking medications sometimes they will pigment your hair and affect your hair coloring. Bleaching sets stop working after 20-25 minutes, after that it just damages your skin. If your scalp is hurting, apply lotion. I like lubriderm. If it's blistering, try aquaphor at night when you to bed. If you're ok, or when you're scalp heals, try it again but don't use the hair coloring sets found in grocery stores. I googled Loreal Feria and it has horrible, horrible reviews that all relate to people getting orange hair. Hair DOES go thru the color spectrum, however it's not something that takes weeks or hours. Just minutes. Go to Sally Beauty. Get a Booster Kit, this is the bleaching stuff. They'll know what you're talking about. Get a developer of 30 peroxide. I wouldn't go 40 because your hair might already be damaged, and 40 is more for darker hair/darker skinned people anyway. 20 minutes. No longer. Your hair should be white or close to it. Then color it the shade of blonde that you want. I suggest using an ash blonde, don't use anything that says golden. Ashes tend to have more purple in the die which help neutralize the goldens.

But because you had used a tint, which contains bleach as you know, your hair will be orange/yellow when you remove the artificial pigments. Your own colour has been long removed. Using bleach on already bleached hair would be a disaster, and it may very well break off. That is just too much damaging treatments. Removing tint is not a very hard thing to do. However, you do need training and some experience in this process. You also need all the products necessary -- just in case something happens unexpectedly -- and it often does. You should exhibit some intelligence and first of all have your consultation with a qualified professional hair colourist who will be able to do a proper analysis of your hair and determine whether it can withstand any further treatment. They will be able to tell you what needs to be done to remove your Feria. They will be able to tell you how to get the shade you want. They will tell you how to look after your hair now that it is quite damaged. You need to know all this before you set off trying to make your hair blonde.
How long to leave L'Oreal Feria on?
Well if your looking for that color on the box,(( hot toffee? I think)) that is lighter than what I classify dark brown as. I would suggest another test and leave it on for the longest amount it says to, if that doesn't work out you'll have to bleach your hair or get professional dye since developers are a huge help. I have dark brown hair naturally and most box mixes from the store will not work with my hair color, I need to use a developer.

Whats the difference between L'Oreal Feria and L'Oreal Preference?
I usually use the L'Oreal Preference. An Auburn, Cherry Copper color and it stays for almost a month before I need to dye it again. I have never tried Feria cuz someone oncetold me that If i used it I had to keep using it otherwise my hair will fall off so I never tried it. Until one (which was yesterday) i decided to ask the cosmetics person and she said that it wasnt true. Therefore, I bought it and havent dyed my hair with it yet but I have a curiosity. What is the difference? Feria is more expensive. Also, this box brought a bunch of hair care products such as an aromatic shimmer serum, color booster for reds, power shimmer conditioner, and a deep conditioning colour gel.
Can I dye my hair and put an ombré on all on the same day?
I have dark brown hair and I am trying to lighten it up for the summer. I want to know if I can dye it and put ombré in it all in the same day? I will be using Superior Preference UL63 Hi-Lift Gold Brown and Feria Wild Ombré 070 Dark Blonde to Light Brown. Both by Loreal. Can I do this without ruining my hair? And if so how?
