I'm fifteen and I've lost over 45 lbs. and gained tons of muscle in the matter of a year. Let me tell you something I've learned, the most common misconception is that you can target fat loss in a certain area of the body. This is false. You cannot do this and in order for you to get rid of that stubborn belly fat you have that you're not happy with, you need to go on a diet and lose it just as if you were losing regular body fat. Remember weight loss & fat loss are two different things.

Weight loss = muscle, water, & fat
Fat loss = fat

If you do do this challenge though, you will gain muscle and muscle has a higher metabolic need for calories than fat so you will burn off the fat more easily once you gain muscle. Not only that but your butt will be looking better too. ;) On the plus side, it will tone your quads, hamstrings, glutes, and calves with ease. If you put weight on your back when you squat it'll be even better. Get a gym membership or something, start weight lifting if you want that fat to go away. Don't worry you will NOT become bulky like a man if you weight lift, it is extremely hard for women to since they don't have nearly enough testosterone as a male would. Good luck. <3

When you go down you're supposed to stick your butt out, which begins the curve in your back and sets you up for the right form when you go down. Weight should be at the heels. When you go up, you squeeze your lower back and butt.

Ok so my butt is extremely flat. I have no butt what's so ever. I'm really insecure about it and I would like to wear leggings and yoga pants and bikini bottoms and all that but I have no butt so I can't Pull it off. I'm really hopeing that this challenge works!! And gives me a nice butt. Btw I'm 14 , 5'2 and weigh 95. I know I'm small and a really big butt would look kinda odd but a nice decant size that the guys would look at is what I'm going for. So has anyone with a flat butt done this challenge? Does it work? Can you tell the difference of now and before? I'd appreciate if girls with flat butts answered because I'm pretty sure a girl who already has a butt and did this would get different results then I would but everyone's answers are welcomed! 30 Day Squat Challenge Results?

I know what squats are but I do not know what this challenge entails...if you are working the same muscle group heavily, day after day, you won't get as good a result...remember, work a specific muscle group every other day (at most)...

Having said that, any muscle building exercise will cause your muscles to increase in size...but being female, you cannot naturally get bulky...if you are using only your own body weight, you won't gain much muscle size at all because you need the additional resistance of weights (as well as proper nutrition) to make any significant size changes...

However, just doing squats with your own body weight will tone/tighten your tush and the accessory muscles you use when you perform that move...

If you are looking to burn fat, you will probably want to add some cardio as you're not going to get high fat burn from doing muscle building exercises (even though having more muscle increases your metabolism)...

Diet is key though, to any fat loss plan...80% of your results will depend on what you are eating...look up clean eating and work toward making that your lifestyle change (for eating)...along with your workouts, you will be on your way to toned and firm legs and butt...
