How do I win at bingo?

Bingo is largely a game of luck.  But you can swing the odds in your favor this way:  1.  Play at a bingo hall that lets you pick your own bingo cards.  2.  Try to pick bingo cards that don't have any or very little duplication of numbers.   For example, you don't want B-15 on every card.   Ideally you only want one or two B-15's.    The more number coverage you can get the better.  But this won't guarantee a win.  If you are good at keeping up, then play more cards.  Playing more cards increases your chances of winning if you can keep up.  All in all, luck rules in this game.  Skill is a very minor element.   If bingo is a game that can be "beat" then nobody would play if they could not beat the game.  Those that can beat the game would split the prizes with other people who can beat the game.  That would not be a good either.

A bowl contains 15 cookies, 4 are bingo, 3 are cream-o, 8 are presto. What is the probability that a kid will select randomly will have a bingo given that he and his two brothers already ate a cream-o?

As he and his 2 brothers already ate a cream-o, there is no cream-o left.In the bowl there is only 12 cookies left (4 bingo and 8 presto)Therefore the probability to pick a bingo is 4/12 ie 1/3

How do you remove bingo marker ink from a carpet?

"Sard" soap, warm water and a "nail bush". You can find it near the soap powders in the store. It would have been easier to use believe it or not "Ketchup" first would have removed it. Since you used rubbing alcohol and club soda you have embedded the stain. Soak the stain with a wet sponge sprinkle the stain with sard soap. (If they only sell it in blocks rub the soap into the stain,) leave it and start on another stain. Return to the first stain lightly agitate with a nail brush dipping it into the water. Using the sponge wipe the pink foam and stain. It's only the oil from the ink that still is embedded in your carpet. "repeat this process on all the stains" By using a small nail brush it won't spread the stain or wear the carpet. Depending how deep the stains are you might have to do it again. This should remove the remove the ink stains.

I have a sharp pain in my chest whenever I drink something cold.?

It started about 4 days ago. Whenever I drink something cold I get a sharp pain in my chest about 4 inches down from my collarbone. I also feel it in my back, at the same point. People have said that it might be acid reflux or heartburn or something but i don't think so. It doesn't feel like burning. It feels sort of like something is stuck and when I drink the muscles used to drink are forcing it to move but can't dislodge it. It kind of feels like if I could burp it would feel better, but I don't have to burp... and even when I do it doesn't feel better. I talked to my grandfather about it today and he said that my grandma always used to say she had the same feeling, and so did her mother before her. I'm wondering if this is something that might be genetic, and even plainly, what it is. Because it can be awful painful.

What silly songs do you remember singing on the bus on the way to field trips while young?

We also had:
"I'm smashing up a baby bumblebee" (and eventually eating it)
That song that had the phrase "sitting in the corner drinking Pabst Blue Ribbon beer"
"Jeremiah was a bullfrog"

What's an average Scrabble score?

Seeing the answers already here, I’m not sure how much I’ll really be adding.I’ll give it a shot anyway since I was asked to answer (A2A) by Matthew Decaux.I’ve mainly played competitively at tournaments among my former university’s Halls of Residence, and within a handful of times at outside tournaments, as well as online. For me, a reasonable minimum score would be around the 370 - 380 range, so I suppose that puts me in the category of “Scrabble enthusiast” as described by Ricky Purnomo.I also fit his description of this group of players, as I have studied extensively 2- and 3-letter words in the Scrabble dictionary (CSW15), studied a smattering of 4-letter words, some 7-letter “stems”, and some playing technique (opening and closing boards and etc.)To connect my perceived standard and my actual play, my current average score - as at time of writing - on the International Scrabble Club (ISC) is 402, though I think it tends to be more around 380+.Depending on the game, my score can be 400+, very rarely 500+, on bad days 300–350 and on really bad days below 300. Below 200 basically does not happen, as far as I can recall.Unusually high/low scores occur in two different scenarios:Both players score high/low - points are just flowing well for both players, or badly for both players, which could be down to tiles or board. The game is lop-sided in one person’s favour - they are getting all the right tilesBecause Scenarios 1 and 2 are quite distinct, it might make sense to evaluate “average score” in terms of both players’ total score, not individual players’ scores (as brought up by Ricky Purnomo, all credit to him for the idea).Basically, I see 370–380 as a minimum reasonable score. This is my standard as a player who has studied extensively 2- and 3-letter words in the Scrabble dictionary (CSW15), studied a smattering of 4-letter words, some 7-letter “stems”, and some playing technique (opening and closing boards and etc.)
