Does The Second Lobe Piercing Hurt

How much does it hurt to get a second lobe piercing? I want to get one but I got my first lobe piercing when I was a baby so I have no idea what it feels like.

My first piercing was with the needle and, on the whole, did not hurt much. It was more the surprise accompanying the act of piercing than any actual pain.By the time I got around to the second, the local piercing palace at the mall had switched to the gun. It hurt a bit but it was less than #1.With # 3, my reaction was akin to “Ho-hum. Is that it?” I had run out of lobe so there was no # 4.From my experience, the fleeting bit of pain decreased with each additional piercing. There was no excruciating pain or anything like that. I’ve had shots that hurt worse than having my ears pierced. So, to answer your question, # 2 should hurt less than # 1. However, since you had # 1 when you were a mere infant, you have nothing to compare with # 2, so it may very well hurt like a first piercing. If you’re in the hands of a competent piercer, it should not hurt much at all.

Does your second ear piercing hurt?

its the samee, the pain was over as soon as the earrings went into my ear,i didnt even get a chance to scream if i wanted to bc it was over just that quick, but it didnt hurt like i thought it would,i was just scared thatz all,but i think the ear lobe is the easiest piercing to get.and i actually got my second hole when i was on crutches haha=]

Second Earlobe piercing::Does it hurt?

No, definitely not too soon. As for the pain, expect about as much as your first holes. It's the same tissue-type really. One thing to watch out for though is that your new earring doesn't get caught in your old one. A friend of mine was getting her second cartilage piercing done and the new stud went through her old hoop. That was at Claire's. It hurt her really bad. So I would suggest having them mark your years with your originals in but then taking your first holes out while they do that actual piercing. Generally, this isn't a problem, but just to be extra safe, it couldn't hurt.

Have fun! And think about more non-traditional piercings if you like the idea of jewelry. I use the site http://www.bmezine.com/pierce/bme-pirc.html to look at pictures and get tons of ideas for what I want to pierce next. I have 8 piercings in my right ear, 3 (needs to be 4 again...) in my left, one in my nose, one in my tongue, and another one in a discreet place.

Good luck!

Should I worry about my second lobe piercing still hurting after 1 month?

I'm a bit concerned with your lobe hurting a month after it has been pierced. If your piercing just hurts to the touch, stop touching it. Some piercers tell you to twist your jewelry in your ear to break up the crustys, do not do this. The more you touch your piercing the more you will irritate it. Touching your piercing while it is healing can lead to infection. Any bacteria or impurities that were on your hand are now in your open wound. If your ear is just swollen make sure to keep cleaning it daily with your sea salt soaks. Do not use rubbing alcohol. Alcohol kills new skin cells that are trying to grow to heal your piercing. Using alcohol is to abrasive for your skin. To help aid in swelling keep your hair up for a couple of days, if your hair is long and tangling on the jewelry. Sleep on your back, so your ear is not resting on your pillow. If by chance, you see pus. This may be a sign of healing. How to know? White and light yellow pus are a sign you are healing. Dark yellow and green are symptoms of an infection. Keep cleaning with sea salt and if the condition doesn't get better, then go to the doctor. If you are feeling nausea, chills, or have fever, this is also a sign of infection. Immediately go to the doctor. Since this piercing is just a lobe piercing I would suggest you go back to your piercer and explain the symptoms you are having. You may just be allergic to the jewelry you have in, if not surgical steel. If you were pierced by a professional body piercer, they will have the best advice for you. Never be afraid to ask questions, we (piercers) have seen and heard it all.Hope this helps, best luck to you!

Does a second and third ear lobe piercing hurt?

I'm getting my second ear lobe piercing soon and my third. Do they hurt? I think I take pain pretty well, it's just I get really nervous... Also, should I wait a little until I get my third, or can I do it the same day? & where should I get them pierced? My mom can pierce my ears with a needle, because she pierced my first ear lobe, but I didn't really hurt, because I got it done with a gun in first grade, and it just closed up but in 5th grade she pierced them again, and I guess she didn't have to pierce that much, so that's why it didn't hurt. I don't really want to get them done with a needle because I heard it hurts more... btw I'm 14

Does it hurt getting your second hole in the ear lobe pierced? also does the cartilage piercing hurt too?

The second hole doesn't hurt at all,its just like the first one. But it depends on how you take pain ya know. I have my top cartliage done and under that and had to get it re pierced like 3 times but to me it hurts at first. After getting it done my ear felt hot and it stung and hurt. I love it though but its definately tolerable, just be very careful with touching it and sleeping on it. Clean it well and just avoid touching it and pain goes away pretty quickly. Good luck :)

Honestly, how much does a second ear lobe piercing hurt?

I MIGHT be getting a second piercing on my ear lobe tomorrow morning, and I wanted to know how much it really hurts? I'm getting it done at Claire's boutique, so they will be using a gun (although I've read why you shouldn't get your ears pierced wth a gun.. I have no choice.. My mother won't let me get it any other way) and I'm kind of freaking out. Yes, I want the piercing very badly, but I'm terrified of how much it will hurt, because I don't want to make a scene with crying or something in public. . . So, if someone who has had the piercing done already could kindly tell me how much it hurt? (Prefereably on a scale of 1-10, 10 being EXTREMELY painful and 1 being barely felt it) Only serious answers, please and thank you! :)

Does getting your second ear piercing hurt?

Hey, I'm 14 and I got my second lobe piercing a couple weeks ago.
First, I'm just gonna tell you that theres nothing to worry about! The only pain you would recieve, is a bit of a pinch in your lobe, when the gun shoots the earring into your lobe. If you pinch your lobe right now with your fingernail (not as hard as you possible can, but hard enough to feel a bit of pain) I will tell you right now, the second you feel the pinching of the gun, does NOT hurt as much as yourself pinching your ear with your fingernails. When the gun fired (for me) I didn't even flinch.
All you have to do is take a deep breath before he/she fires it through, and you'll be fine!
I should tell you however, that after a couple of minutes, there is a slow pain, but its nothing close to the pain you would recieve when you actually had gotten the piercing. Like I said before, the pain is nothing to worry about! I think you should definately go for it!
Oh yeah, I think it might be fun to also say that my mother never wanted me to get it done. But after, I showed it to her, and guess what? My mom is 44 years old (she doesnt look her age though), and soon, she is going back to the place to get her second piercing done too! xD
I think you should definately go for it! Good luck! :D
