Does This Camping Trip Sound Like A Good Idea

Camping + Marijuana + Mushrooms = Bad/Good Camping Trip?

I would do the shrooms mid afternoon, otherwise they will keep you up all night. Dont mix them with weed or booze your first time either.

Mushrooms are usually a pretty mellow trip compared to other hallucinogens. Most people claim they have the ability to "turn it on and off," depending on what the focus on. Along those same lines, your mood can affect the type of trip you have a lot. If you are feeling scared, anxious, or paranoid before taking them, the mushrooms will just escalate that feeling, and it will be... unpleasant.

As long as you are having good times with good people, you should be fine.

The two biggest side effects are nausea and respiratory depression. Nausea can be helped by eating something with the mushrooms like peanut butter. I also like drinking OJ after.

The respiratory depression won't kill you, but it can make you "forget" to breath causing you to snore or gasp. It is comparable to sleep apnea and subsides within 6 hours. I wouldn't try swimming while tripping, though.

Edit:
Good point from Bear Crap. I looked at those articles, and all of those people either mixed mushrooms with alcohol, or in case of the teacher took nearly 20 times the normal dose. About 1/8 of an ounce (around 1-2 caps) is enough for a good 4 hour trip. For your first time, I suggest taking even less. until you know how it will effect you.

And again, if you are even the slightest bit apprehensive about taking them, then don't. That anxiety is what leads to a bad trip. A bad trip is where you think everyone is out to get you, and you are scared to death that you are lost in the woods even though you are 3 feet away from your tent. A good trip and you can lay down and finger paint with the stars a la Jodie Foster in Contact.

And again, don't mix with weed, especially not the first time. Weed can prolong the trip you get from the mushrooms, but it can also intensify a bad trip making it even worse.

Also, treat mushrooms as a special occasion drug. Something you do once a year with the right group of people. All things in moderation.

Camping trip and my crush is invited?

My family gose on a camping trip every summer with a bunch of our friends families, and on one of the days we go tubing down a river and it's really fun
But this year the guy I have a crush on and his family (I'm a 13 year old girl) are invited to the camping trip. Im kinda freaking out about it,
How can I keep cool when he's around and not make a fool out of myself?
Also do you think it might be a good idea to have him play a role (if he wants to) in a short movie I'm gonna make when I'm camping
Also, a bunch of people think he likes me too because when they asked him if he likes me he was nervous and tried to ovoid the question

Is crossing country (USA) on a 750cc Kawasaki Vulcan good idea?

A 750 cruiser is plenty big enough to cross the country. It's a lot more expensive these days when when I did it (in a VW van). Maine to CA and back is 6000 miles (roughly), which at 45 mpg is 133 gallons of gas. Camping used to be like 3 or 4 dollars, now at a California state park it's like $25 (but there are lots of cheaper places I'm sure).

My recommendation would be to take a few long highway trips first, like for a weekend or three days. Cover 200 then 300 then 500 miles per day. 500 miles is a long day on a bike, and day after day little things that normally wouldn't bother you become big things. A cruiser is more comfortable but you want to find what things you want to change. An aftermarket seat might not be a bad idea.

Also you should have a fairing or at least a windshield. It makes a HUGE difference riding all day on the highway. The wind on your chest really beats you up!

In fact, for your very first Summer on a motorcycle you might decide on something a little shorter, more local. Up into the Maritime provinces, or down the East Coast to the Carolinas or GA.

Sneaking stuff on a girl scout camping trip and other problems?

First, in my Girl Scout Council, it's not against the rules to go outdoors at night, so long as you have a Buddy. I've been on many night hikes (without flashlights, even) and done lots of stargazing in my years as a Girl Scout.
Second, you don't ever want any kind of food in your tent or cabin. The "critters," from bugs to raccoons to bears, can smell it and WILL get to it. As part of your troop's planning for this campout, why don't you suggest planning a late-night snack for everybody? It could be something deliciously decadent, like S'mores made with dark chocolate, or as silly as kick-the-can ice cream.
Be careful about bringing any scented lotions, perfumes, etc., for the same reason as having food where you sleep. The critters can't tell it from food!
Leave your makeup at home. I can hear you groaning now! But, the scents in it will attract bugs. Just use your moisturizer with sunscreen. No flatirons, blowdryers, etc., either. A good brush & hair ties. Cover your hair with a bandanna. Commiserate with your troopmates about what the guys you know would say if they could see you now!
Wear natural fibers, as they breathe. Polyesters won't let you cool off as well as cottons. If you're rich, a linen and silk blend is wonderful for slacks or shorts.
Oh, and dorky as it sounds, please wear sneakers with socks. Your feet deserve good protection!
When you get home, take a long, hot bath. Add a quarter of a cup of the concentrated bleach (or a half of a cup of the regular bleach) to the water. Soak all of yourself, including your hair, for at least 15 min. This will kill any bugs that may have found you. Then, shower as usual. The bleach will neither hurt you nor bleach your hair.
Most of all, go have fun! The camping trips I've been on were some of the most fun I've ever had. My 17 year old daughter, who is girly to the max, now wants to take up backpacking because of the camping we did together when I was her Girl Scout Leader.
Let me know how it went, please?

Would you go camping if you were 35 weeks pregnant?

I am 35 weeks and 2 days pregnant now and I see no problem in going camping. Just make sure you tell your doc and get their input on being that far away from the hospital. Good luck and eat some smores for us! Yummy!
