Doing An As Level Without Its Igcse.

Can I do A-Levels without doing O-Levels?

Yes you can, but I would advise you to do your o levels first so that you have some qualifications to fall back on.The A levels are notoriously difficult, especially in Singapore. Usually, only the top scorers of the PSLE taken at 12 years old are allowed to basically skip their O levels through the Integrated Programme (IP). Under this Programme, students study for 6 year before taking the A levels at 18 without doing their O levels at 16. However, the programme is very rigorous and some do drop out of it because it can be too much to handle. The drawback of doing your A levels without doing your O levels in Singapore is that if you decide not to go to university in the end, you would have to go to a polytechnic or some other tertiary education institute and start all over again from year 1, 2 years behind everybody in your age group. To me, having the option to choose which route you really want after O levels is much better as you could have more options :)Still if you are capable of it, please do try to complete your A levels without doing your O levels. But before you make your decision, please think Long and hard about it first because it could potentially affect your future. All the best :)

Do you think A Level accounting is hard without doing IGCSE accounting?

Yes.. it is difficult without taking this course first.. it is a good prep course for A level accounting.. good luck!

Is there an upper age limit for the IGCSE, O levels, AS levels and A levels as a private candidate?

First of all, no there isn’t any upper age limit for the aforementioned education systems. British Council doesn’t any strict age restrictions on these examinations. However, it is still recommended that you take your O level/IGCSE examinations during the age of 14 to 17 years, AS levels the following year, and lastly A level examinations next year, when you are 16–19 years old.During my O Level years, I knew people who were at the age to have gone to university for their Bachelors, but still seemingly were stuck with the rest of the sixteen year olds taking the examinations. They didn’t face any sort of problems, so don’t worry, you’ll be fine.

Is it possible if I take IGCSE Exams without attending any Cambridge curriculum school?

Firstly, you should be able to understand everything just by reading the textbooks. For Mathematics, I recommend you to take David Rayner's book as it is apt for igcse exams. Also you must try to do maximum past papers so that you get to know how the questions are. Talking about your question, you can give the exam as a private candidate. For further information go to this link. It is the official CIE website.http://www.cie.org.uk/cambridge-...

Are ther any universities in uk or us which accept igcse without the alevels?

You can run a search on this webpage: http://recognition.cie.org.uk/SearchReco...

Select the country, followed by the state(s), where necessary.
Under Institution Type(s), check the box for Higher or Further Education.
Under General Qualifications, check the box for IGCSE/O Level
Click on Search

The admission requirement for most state universities in the US is five IGCSE passes with grade C or higher. According to the recognition search result, no universities in the UK accept IGCSE without A/AS Level. However, some institutions did not register themselves for recognition on CIE's recognition search.

Good luck.

PHYSICS - WORK AND POWER IGCSE LEVEL PLS HELP?

a car of mass 750kg accelerates away from traffic lights. at the end of the first 100m it has reached a speed of 12m/s. during this time, its engine provides an average forward force of 780N, and another force of friction on the car is 240N.
a) calculate the work done on the car by the force of the engine
b) calculate the work done on the car by the force of friction.
c) using k.e.=1/2 mv^2, calculate the increase in the car's kinetic energy at the end of the first 100m.
d) explain whether your answers are consistent with the principle of conservation of energy.

pls help and can you pls show all working thanks a lot in advance :)

Is it possible to do IGCSE and A levels in a year?

I'm not 100% sure what you mean here. If you're talking about doing each individually in a year, IGCSE would be reasonably easy to get a good grade in with just 1 year if preparation.A-levels are a completely different ball game. Given that they are done over 2 years and still very challenging, I think that doing so in a year less would significantly harm your grade. I'm currently in my second year of A levels and put in around 10–15 hours of work per A-levels and around 5 hours for my EPQ. This means that I spend around 35–50 hours per week studying. If you assumed that to complete 3 A-levels and an EPQ in one year it would take twice as much studying, that would work out at 70–100 hours per week of studying. That's 9–7, 7 days per week! Although this is attainable, I highly doubt anyone would study that much and their grades would suffer as a result.I'd recommend possibly taking some modules early rather than the whole second year as you wouldn't be doing yourself any favours.I hope this was helpful :)
