Ear Lobes Swollen After Stretching

Swollen ear lobes after stretching from 2g to 0g?

So I've been gauging my ears for about 3 months and I am now at a 0g. I gauged my ears to a 4g before then let them close, so the second time around gauging didn't hurt and was much quicker. This is the first stretch I made that was actually really painful. I kept the 2's in for about a month and thursday night, I stretched to the 0g. It seemed impossible and hurt extremely bad, but I am impatient so I shoved it in after much pain. My ears hurt but it is bearable. But at my lobe below the gauge, my ear is extremely hard and swollen and kind of purple. Also, my neck around behind my ears is really sore and swollen. I have a cold so my friend said I might have swollen glands but that has never happened to me before so I am starting to believe it is related to my piercings. Is it? And what do I do? Thank you.

Swollen ear lobes after stretching my ears?

Hopefully this'll help, I've had my ears stretched for three days now, two days, and they’ve been swollen and red, along with pain. The pain has gotten to the point, where I can't sleep, let alone think about moving my head to the side. But at the same time, there are times, where it doesn't feel like I have my ears stretched, everything feels fine.

This hasn't ever happened to me before and this is the first time, my ears are swollen and red.

Swollen and pusing ear lobe after stretching.. help?

So I went from 14mm to 18mm about 4 days ago, and it was fine, my ear just hurt a little, and today it has swelled up loads, and started to puss... I'm sea salt bathing it, and I cant get the tunnel out because it hurts waay to much, I think its teared, how can I look after this and help it heal quickly???

Ear lobe is really swollen after stretching it?

DO NOT REMOVE IT.
If there is an infection, the piercing will close over the infection and could cause many other problems.

When I went from plain ears to a 10g, my ears were swollen and hard for about two days. Its at about the point of a week that you should worry. Don't agitate the earring too much, its possible there's a small tear and thats your bodies natural reaction. Clean it with soap and water, rubbing alcohol can be too harsh sometimes, especially on stretched ears. Your best bet honestly would be a sea salt rinse/soak, but since you don't have that just use the soap&water.

If your whole earlobe is numb, though, that's not a good sign. Dark red is not uncommon of a colour, but the numbness shouldn't be happening. Downgrade to your 12 and wait a few months. Keep it clean.

I stretched my ear and its swollen with some puss and blood also?

I stretched my ear on Monday from 5/8s to 3/8s and on that day it was hurting I couldn't sleep for a while I kept moving in bed then I woke up like at 2:00 a.m and it was hurting so I took a ibuprofen and went back to sleep, the next day later on towards the night it got puss and bloody and swollen, now it's been like 2 days and its still bloody swollen and has puss, I tried taking one off earlier today sort of but it hurt so I just left them and i put pro oxide around it, i don't know what to do and I'm kind of nervous? Is it okay or like what? Can someone please help me? Thank You.

I stretched my ear and its swollen how do i get it to go down?

Ice it and take ibuprofen. Ibuprofen is an anti-inflammatory and will help reduce the swelling, as will the ice.

What kind of jewellery are you using? Make sure if there are any o-rings that they are loose enough to give your ear plenty of room for the swelling. If there is an actual backing to the jewellery (as opposed to just a plug with no backing) make sure the jewellery is long enough for the swelling, you may even need to remove the backing or o-ring for a bit.

Good luck.

Does ear stretching hurt?

For me it’s more uncomfortable than anything. It’ll hurt the initial stretch a bit, but after that it’s not throbbing like a full new piercing

Is swelling after stretching your ears normal?

It will probably be sore for a few days, but I'd wait on taking the taper out. Do not put in any other kind of jewelry until the piercing stops hurting. If you feel you can bare it, put in a steel tunnel, don't use wood or silicon. These have little holes in them where bacteria will be trapped, and you could get an infection. Slide the surgical steel tunnel in directly after the taper. Your lobes should never be bright red or swollen for more than a few hours-- if they are, take the piercing out immediately. You'll have to stretch back up.
