Ear Stretching: Vitamin E oil help!?

It's not a have too thing, but the vitamin E helps sooth the area and helps with scaring from what i have heard. I never used it during my stretches... You can poke a hole in the gel capsules and that would be fine.. Or even go to a heath food store and ask for pure vitamin E oil. But honestly i don't think it's a have to thing. You sound like your already taking good care of your ears so i think your safe :) --The vitamin E oil probably would help slick the tapers in when you go up sizes. But it's up to you. :) --if you use it and just poke a hole you could get some at the tip of your fingers (with clean hands) and just rub it on the tapers and on your lobes

UGH! My ear won't stretch, help?

well i remember the stretch from 4g to 2g was horrible for one of my ears and it just only went about 3 quarters of the way and so i just left it there for about 2 hours and put lots of soap and water on it and then it managed to slip though. (this is probably not the best idea though)

i used bondage tape for the stretch from 2g to 0g and it was compleatly painless.

if you want info on stretching with tape check this out http://www.onetribe.nu/faqs/11

Ear Stretching Help / Slight Bleeding?

Hello =) I have encountered my 1st problem in stretching my ears. I recently stretched up to a 2g and my right ear is sore and was slightly bleeding. This is strange because the 4g to 2g stretch actually didn't hurt that bad. I feel that I might of done some damage because I might have pushed the taper through a little too fast in the right ear. Once my ears weren't sore anymore I went out and bought some Kaos Softwear ear plugs which are super comfortable. I popped those in and once I got home from work the next day I noticed my right ear was sore and I noticed there was a tiny bit of blood on the plug. Now that I've cleaned them and put my acrylic plugs back in the bleeding has stopped but they are still very sore and sensative. My question is what do I do from here. Should I keep the Kaos plugs in since they're very soft and comfortable and just treat it as if it were a fresh piercing and constantly clean it? I ordered some of that Holey Butt'r a while ago so it should be here soon so I'd imagine that would help alot. I plan on massaging my ears with that. I do not plan on stretching my ears again for a while now that this has happened. I WILL NOT downsize. Please don't ask me to because for the 1st time I absolutely love the way my ears look, and it finally looks like I actually have stretched ears. =) Thanks for any help you can provide.

Ear Stretching question!! 6g to 4g bleeding help!?

well gauging is going to hurt none the less. yeah, puss & blood will come out, but thats just like any other piercing.

if you can tolerate the pain, go ahead & put in the 6g & then 2 weeks later, put in the 4 g. it will be sore & all but thats the price of beauty. no one said it would be easy!!

Is there a way to soothe pain from stretching you ears?

Personal Experience, My ears are stretched at 9/16ths, so i have been through this process multiple times. Currently I assume you have tapers in, Since you did this last night you should be able to line up the largest end of the taper with your plug, then slide your ear so it is easily transferred to the plug. If you are in the shower, it could help the process. Steam will soften your ears and water is a slight lubricant.
As for the pain, after the plugs are in, you can flick your ear lobes a bit, this tickles and suprisingly doesnt hurt.
You can also take some asprin, tylenol motrin to reduce swelling and ease pain. :)

Oh, and as a lubrication you can use a&d ointment vaseline or baby oil. no lotion.

What can i do to help my stretched ear heal faster?

I'm a nurse practitioner/physician's assistant........I shouldn't use this as a diagnostic tool, but can you post a picture of the damaged ear?? And a "fistula" is a tunnel under the skin...... it is an abnormal connection or passageway between two epithelium-lined organs or vessels that normally do not connect.

The healing process depends on a majority of factors: your overall health, age, smoker/non smoker (yes, it does make a difference) alcohol/no alcohol, recreational drug usage......

I will star this and check back. Just trying to help you so that it doesn't get infected and then you're in deep..............

EDIT: Continue with your cleansing method, you might want to use some rubbing alcohol, don't us Hydrogen Peroxide~that actually make it take longer to heal. And the Neosporin~ if you can get the CREAM not the OINTMENT, the cream does NOT occlude the wound, the ointment puts up a barrier. Clean 3X/day and apply the neosporin cream after you've dried the area. Best to you.........

What Lube can I use for Tapers? (Stretching Ears)?

Any water-based lube. KY, Durex, AstroGlide- basically anything found with the condoms. lol
Anything like Vaseline is too thick and blocks oxygen flow which impedes healing.

Jojoba oil is a good one to use as well.

Also, I've found that lathering up a piercing-friendly soap (anything mild or organic) works the best. Gets things very slippery and makes it quite easy to stretch.

Are there remedies for pain after stretching ears?

Either a lil ice... or EVEN BETTER, if you have some chamomile tea, make the tea... but then take the tea bag and lay it on your lobes, the warmth will soothe, and chamomile is a Natural anti-inflammatory.

Stretching should never hurt... if this happened every time... then it sounds like your not waiting long enough between stretches

You SHOULD be waiting AT LEAST the Bare minimum between stretches:
16g to 14g - 1 month
14g to 12g - 1 month
12g to 10g - 1.5 months
10g to 8g - 2 months
8g to 6g - 3 months
6g to 4g - 3 month
4g to 2g - 3 months
2g to 0g - 4 months
0g to 00g - 4 months

I'm gonna guess you've developed a fair share of scar tissue too... for the sake, health and beauty of your lobes take your time, go SLOW *Stretching isn't a race* and pick up some Jojoba oil at your local health foods store, and start massaging and oiling your lobes to break up and dissolve any and all scar tissue as well as making stretching easier... It's proven that oil massaging your lobes twice a day Plus waiting the appropriate times lead to easier pain free stretches, as well as happy stretchy lobes
