Problem with saving drafts in new yahoo mail?

You say---"the New Yahoo Mail"---and the solution there is>>hold down the "shift" key while clicking "send" and the draft will remain in the draft folder.

HOWEVER----that doesn't work in the updated version of Classic Mail {which, I suspect, is the one you're talking about}.
It seems the only solution is>>don't send from the draft folder. Highlight and "copy" the original (in the folder) and "paste" it into a new compose screen, and send it from there, leaving the draft still in the folder.

Yahoo doesn't tell you this, tho---(it's just a work-around for the time being).

Why did a draft in my AOL Mail just disappear?

How long did you have them in there. drafts in most e-mail services get automatically deleted after a while -_-

Next time save your important stuff permanently to your Saved Mail folder.

How do you save draft on new yahoo email?

If you go to the bottom of the email you have written, down on the far left is the send button. On the far right is says 'saved at..." If you click on that it will save the draft. I just discovered this after 2 weeks of frustration.

In the new version of Yahoo Mail the "save draft" option is missing, how can you get it back?

Here is a "workaround". It takes some time and preparation, but it will serve as a working save draft mechanism in the interim.

Compose your draft, and e-mail it to yourself, making sure to enable the "Save to sent messages" function. Use "Draft" as the first word in the message title to make it easier to spot.

To continue work, highlight & copy the text, click "Compose", then paste the text to the composition field. Repeat the send & copy process for each draft modification, then give it the proper title and send it to the proper recipient when the message is all done.

If you are working on or keeping multiple drafts at once, you can also go to your "Folders" section, create a new folder, and name it "Drafts", and move the drafted messages from your "Sent" box over to it. They can then be copied & pasted to the compose window for further work.

An added bonus of this is that if you share your machine, it will allow you to conceal them from prying eyes or meddling fingers.

Why my text disappears while typing?

yes, I have that happen and dont have a answer, but what I did was save the message then delete the old draft , make a new draft and paste it on that one.

Gmail: How do I retrieve Gmail drafts?

Not sure if this is possible, but I know you can retrieve emails after you click send by canceling them with “Undo Send”.MailTag made a video tutorial on this -

How do you turn off Gmail's autosave while writing an email?

I hate to be the first one to break this to you, if it still hasn't been broken to you until now. It can not be done, at least not as of today [22nd Oct' 2012].The only thing that I see as of now, is for you to click 'Discard' whenever you don't actually send a message, so that it's not saved in your Drafts and consequently doesn't show up the next time you open in conversation mode. That's what I do, although I haven't been having any serious problems until now with the Autosave/Drafts as such. It has actually been a boon sometimes, like if I was in the middle of an important email and suddenly, my laptop/internet connection went off.Seeing so many complaints about the same thing on google forums, it seems to be a much sought-after toggle setting that Google (company) should be introducing soon!
