Facts About Kobe Bryant Like How Many Awards He Won

Kobe fans: why do you like kobe bryant?

A couple things I don't like here..

Kobe a bad leader? 5 rings, 7 Finals appearences.. Not only that, but he did that during the Western Conference's most dominant era. You don't do that if you are a bad leader. Kobe blames his teammates? The only time he ever did that was when Luke Walton was his 2nd best teammate. And his complaining forced the Lakers to trade for Gasol, which won them 2 rings. Is that not a quality of a good leader, to know when and when not to criticize teammates? And let's not get started on his work ethic, and the leadership qualities that brings.

Another thing.. Kobe doesn't shoot a low percentage. Find me another SG who averages over 45% while taking over 20 shots per game. That list is pretty small.. Michael Jordan, Dwyane Wade, Kobe Bryant.. Not much more after that.

And to answer your question.. I'm a Lakers fan, Kobe is a Lakers legend. The Lakers have a lot of fans, so Kobe is going to have a lot of fans.

Is Kobe Bryant a Hall of Famer Yet??

Yes. If he retired right this second, he'd be first ballot.

Did Kobe Bryant deserve the 2005-2006 NBA MVP award?

I believe Kobe Bryant deserved the 2005–2006 NBA MVP award despite what the advanced stats say. Kobe had one of the most historic scoring seasons in NBA history, averaging 35.4 points per game, good for eight all time. Only Wilt, MJ, and Rick Barry have averaged more in a season. This was also the season that Kobe scored 81 against the Raptors and 62 in 3 quarters against the Mavs. Kobe has always been a volume scorer, so his percentages were lower compared to the other MVP candidates, but Kobe had to do the most for his team. Nash and Nowitzki played with much more talent around them than Kobe did that season, so Kobe shot the ball a lot more out of necessity.Kobe’s teammates that season included: Kwame Brown, Smush Parker, Lamar Odom, Chris Mihm, and Luke WaltonNash’s teammates were: Amare Stoudemire, Shawn Marion, Barbosa, and Boris DiawNowitski’s teammates: Jason Terry, Josh Howard, Jerry Stackhouse, and Devin HarrisKobe clearly had less talent around him than any other MVP candidate, except for Lebron, but it would have been hard for Lebron to win MVP this year, because he was still so young and his team wasn’t very dominant in the weaker conference. All things considered, Kobe averaged 35.4 points, 5.3 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 1.8 steals, shooting 45% from the field, 35% from 3, and 85% from the line. Those numbers look MVP caliber to me. I know Nash and Nowitzki score better in most of the advanced stats, but sometimes you just have to look at the game and see who the best player is. Kobe dragged his trash team to the playoffs and should have beat the Suns in the first round. Kobe was the most valuable player; take him off that team and they become one of the worst teams in the league. To my eyes, Kobe Bryant was the best player and the most valuable player in the NBA in the 2005–2006 season. All Statistics are from Basketball Statistics and History | Basketball-Reference.com

Kobe Bryant or Michael Jordan?

Well basically now you have to compare both players on there own skill not there rings.
1) Mj had no rings without Pippen, he had rodman and other guys who always chip in, which help you win a nba Championshio
2) Same with kobe he had Shaq, Horry, Fox, etc all the guys who chipped in which led to Championships. Now Gasol came along and now he won back to backs.
If you want to make fun of Kobe and say Jordan is better, well Kobe did have Shaq and Gasol. If you want to say Jordan is better, well he had a whole crew with him as well.

No NBA basketball player can be criticized if they win a championship with good players. Why do you think that the big three got together, why didn't ray allen try to score 50 plus points every night. Well because it takes a team to win NBA championships.

KOBE vs JORDAN- both players played in an era with many good players.

JORDAN---He had a more physical era with less fouls called, as he played with Charles Barkley, Magic Johnson, Penny Hardaway and the man who locked him down during the 80s, Joe Dumars.

KOBE: Kobe has more of a competitive era, with more skilled faster and talented players who can score, defend etc. Kobe is facing players like LEBRON, dwayne wade, Kevin Durant, Carmelo, iverson(at his peek), Vince Carter(at peek), Tracey McGrady(at his peek).

Especially in Jordans era, teams were not as stacked as now. Some teams are almost allstar teams, remember the Detroit pistons sometime back they had about 3-4 allstar players on their team starting. The Celtics have the big three and now Rondo.

Both Players need to judged on there own skill, Jordan got more spaced out shots, not that this is bad. He got better shots more often because he could make space with his good dribbling. Kobe bryant, I have seen him play, he does not care if he has space or not he knocks down jumpers.
Kobe has 5 chanpionships and Jordan has 6 and i would say that they are even, and if kobe can win his 6th or any more which he can because he isn't even that old with a young team, he should be considered better. The comparisons are so high because both players have the same style, same height and they are so alike.

Still we all have opinions, but this debate will go on forever, with some people favoring Jordan and some favoring Kobe.

They both are Outstanding players!

Why does Kobe Bryant only have 1 MVP?

Contrary to the user above, the MVP is not a popularity contest. It's not the best player award, it's about generating wins. It's only going to go to players on teams who win 55 games or have a top-5 league record. Steve Nash made his teammates look like All-Stars; without him, the Suns are a 20-25 win team... With him, they won 55-60 games. Derrick Rose won it in 2011 because the Bulls had the best record.

Actually, Kobe shouldn't have any MVP's. Chris Paul should have won it in 2008. He had a far weaker cast than Kobe did and won 56 games compared to the Lakers 57.

Who should have really won the NBA MYP Award this year? Kobe, LeBron,Nash, or Dwayne Wade??

D.Wade he is HOTT i mean FINE and
a gooooooooood VERY GOOOOD B-BALL player!!!!!!!!!!!

Is Candace Parker the Female version of Kobe Bryant?

yeah.

Kobe and Candace both play for L.A, and they are both the BEST player in their league. What Parker did today was pretty special, she was unstoppable against the champs, maybe female basketball player will say 'Imake me like Candace."

Candace Parker > LeQueer James

Why do people love Kobe Bryant? I love him because he isn't as talented as MJ, but his hard work is what made him great. People forget the MVP is a popularity contest. This is clearly seen as LeBron is the MVP of 2018 while Harden got it.

It’s obvious why Southern Californians love Kobe Bryant, he won us 5 championships. And it would have been 6 if Shaq had stayed in shape in 2004.He is the epitome of hard work. Jordan had more natural talent but Kobe for his entire career was mentioned in the same sentence as Jordan. So like the OP, many people admire Kobe for that. Hard work is a virtue that is valuable in all aspects of life and can be explained to children. You can show rookie Kobe Bryant putting up 4 air balls in game 5 against the Utah Jazz in 1997. Then tell your kids that as soon as he flew home, he went to the gym and shot until sunrise. And he did that every day that summer. Then show them his 81 point game in 2006. That is a very tangible example for people on the power of hard work.MVP is a strange award because it can mean so many things. Last year 2017, Harden probably deserved it more than Westbrook. A triple double is actually meaningless. Who had a better game: a 20/10/11 game or a 42/8/8 game? I would claim that those 2 rebounds and 3 assists are not worth 22 points. Westbrook averaged a triple double again this year and no one talked about him being the MVP. Lebron was great as usual this year but like Westbrook, his stats are inflated because he is his team and his team plays in a weak conference. And no one is saying Lebron wasn’t the best player, he is. But…Harden’s team was better, his stats were better and he did this:References: Kobe Bryant’s ‘airball game’ in 1997 was as defining moment in his career
