Fancy Headband For Prom

Lost a bet to my girlfriend that i whould have to wear a fancy formal dress to her friends 28th birthday?

first shave your whole body so its more feminine, then go to a salon or her house and get ready. you have to paint your fingers and toes to match you outfit so pink or white id say. then borrow some clothes and go to a department store and get a bra fitting for extra embarrassment, the go to victoria secret get a sexy thong and bra, along with this a small black dress, some fishnets or pantyhose, some glossy black high heels about 4'inches. the put a headband or bow in your hair, then have her do your makeup and your set. wear a sweater or shall, and carry a handbag, at the party you have to spill you bag, and let all your tampons and maxi pads fall out. lastly you have to take pictures with the other girls and post them or show them to friends. then i think you will be even. if this doesnt work match exactly what she is wearing and walk in with linked arms. good luck, with the thong and heels.haha

Should your headband have to match what you are wearing?

It doesn't have to "match" what you are wearing, but here are a few tips:

* If you are wearing a pattern on your shirt, don't go for another pattern on your headband, unless you want people to think you have bad taste.
* If you are wearing something a bit more fancy, go for a floral, or jewel headband.
* If you are wearing multicolor, pick one of those colors.

Prom: Indian Sari or Prom Dress?

It's a great idea! As long as you wear it with confidence, you'll totally rock the look. To update the sarees you have and maybe make them more prom dress appropriate, try mix and matching sarees you have with unique designer blouses, halter and one style. You can find a lot to buy or borrow here: http://luxemi.com/index.php/catalogsearch/result/?q=blouse

Also, to make it prom-appropriate consider accessorizing with modern accessories that reflect your style. Consider adding a funky headband, or maybe a cute headpiece, or even an arm band. You can belt a saree with your favorite belt to get a boho-chic look too - try it, I promise it will be cute!

Remember - a look is all about how you wear it, and how you make it your own. Done right, a sari at your prom could be awesome!

What is the difference between homecoming, prom and ball?

Hi there! I’m a rising junior in Texas (just finished sophomore year) so I can probably help you :)Homecoming - Homecoming usually occurs in the fall of the school year (usually high school but I’m sure that there are colleges that do have homecoming) and involves both the homecoming football game and the dance that is usually sometime after the game. There’s often a whole week dedicated to the event (known as homecoming week) that involves spirit days, such as “twin tuesday”. My school (and many others) don’t have a homecoming dance, as it usually requires a lot of planning and money that is usually saved for other things (prom, graduation, etc.) However, schools that have homecoming dances allow all grades (9–12) to attend, unlike prom. The typical homecoming dress. They are basically prom dresses but they aren’t as extravagant and/or long.Homecoming in Texas also involves mums (for the girls) and garters (for the boys) that are worn on the day of the homecoming game, and they look like this:Typical mums and garters. The second picture represents the average size of the two accessories. Girls usually pin their mum onto their shirt and boys wear the garter on their arm.Prom - Prom is usually for juniors and seniors (though underclassmen can attend if their are invited by an upperclassman) and is talked about for months, usually starting in March or April. Typically boys ask out the girls as a prom date (though there are girls who do take the initiative) through creative ways (pictures below). The girls also wear dresses that are usually considered “fancier” than homecoming dresses.Typical prom invitationTypical prom dressesBall - I’ve never attended a ball before, but from what I’ve heard, balls are considered fancier than proms, and are usually themed (such as a masquerade ball). According to Wikipedia, a ball is a “formal dance party” and “attenders wear evening attire, which is specified on the invitation as black tie or white tie (the most formal). Social dance forms a large part of the evening; actual ballroom dancing may or may not occur.” [1]As you can tell from the photos above, balls are usually the most formal events out of all three of the events listed in my answer.Let me know if you need any more clarification! :)Footnotes[1] Ball (dance party)

Cute, fast, and easy hairstyles for competition.?

I am competing in National History Day tomorrow. It is required that you dress up, so I am doing that, but I would like an easy simple hairstyle that wouldn't take long for me to do in the morning, and please don't suggest curling my hair because it looks terrible curled, but if possible could you attach a picture and please don't give out bad answers, thanks!!

If my date doesn't buy me a corsage for the prom is it not über lame to buy my own?

Prom etiquette seems to have changed since my high school days.

If your fourteen-year-old date doesn't look too short or too baby-faced, go ahead and attend the prom with him. Be grateful that he's willing to be your date. Treat him courteously. Find a moderately-priced, pretty dress, and some shoes that will be comfortable for an evening's dancing. Some towns even have second-hand shops, and charities that provide a selection of prom dresses for girls who can't afford to buy one.

You could order a wrist corsage or a headband corsage, and tell your date it's from your dad. That way if your date comes up with a regular corsage you could wear both. (But don't go to the prom with your dad.)

Don't obsess over dinner. Your date has already had to rent formal wear, think about transportation, and perhaps order flowers for you. If he invites you for dinner as well, that would be a lovely bonus. The world is not going to worry about whether you had a pre-prom dinner date.

What color suit goes with a purple dress?

Depending on the shade of purple, some suit colors may look better than others. A tan- or camel-colored suit matches nicely with most shades of purple, as does a variety of gray hues. Light heather gray and charcoal gray are both complementary colors to purple. A black suit is always a safe bet, no matter the color of a dress, as black typically matches with all colors and can be considered neutral in terms of suiting. Navy blue can also match a purple dress; but the color needs to have a dark inky pigment and less of a purple undertone, or else it can be too similar in color and look like an attempt at an exact match. Instead of matching a suit to a dress, using accessories that coordinate with the dress can be an easier way to incorporate the color scheme. If suit colors are limited, opt for a tie or bow tie with purple stripes or a pattern. Similarly, wearing purple socks or a purple handkerchief can have a similar effect and will provide a pop of color that matches the dress. A black suit is the most versatile, as it can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. Black suits can be worn with a tie or without one, and when paired with a crisp white shirt they always looks smart. The black-and-white combination matches with any shade of purple and is a perennial style that doesn't require any planning or specific color matching.

Do you think wearing masquerade masks to school is a good idea/trend?

i bought a gorgeous mask downtown today, and came up with an idea of wearing a masquerade mask like a headband.. my school uniform is the collared shirts and khaki pants, so its kinda boring. Is this a good idea or just plain weird?
