Fantasy Football Help 12 Team Ppr

Who should be the 9th pick in a 12-team PPR fantasy football league in 2016?

He would be my draft board, based on what I watch.Antonio Brown - Undeniably talented and arguably the best WR in the league last year, I think he will have another great year. It also helps that he has an incredible quarterback, Big Ben.DeAndre Hopkins - Also incredible, I think that this year with the addition of Brock Osweiler, the Texans will do great, and Hopkins is going to be the #1 target for Brock, who we know can throw well.Julio Jones - A 6′2″ WR witha 38 inch vertical, he will be great at getting the long ball, as well as getting fade routes for the touchdowns.OBJ - Self-explanatory. He has the capability for breakout plays, incredible catches, and is a #1 target for Eli Manning. At #4 because Eli is wildly inconsistent.Rob Gronkowski - Possibly the best tight end in the league, he is massive, and is always a #1 target for Brady. I do think with more options this year, he will get less action, but is still a great pick.Le’Veon Bell - A great powerback, he can plow over defensive backs for touchdowns, and is a good screen option.A.J. Green - He is a great receiver, and the best option for Andy Dalton on the Bengals.Todd Gurley - He’s an incredible runner, but is also capable when it comes to catching as well. With Jared Goff leading the team as a rookie, Todd Gurley is sure to get some short passes to raise that fantasy score.Dez Bryant - He’s a great WR, but he himself can be inconsistent, and Tony Romo is… Tony Romo.Final Advice: Almost any star wide receiver is a good choice. I made this just from my knowledge, but if you really want to research deep into, look at players drop percentages, how often they are targeted, etc. Whatever you choose, AVOID THE BRONCOS.

Fantasy Football League PPR vs 0.5 PPR?

I don't get half point.
Either you play a PPR or Standard format, but don't play half point.
The point of PPR is to add value to possession guys who don't score. By using half point, you're devaluing the Mid level guys and separating them further from the top tier guys.
IMO.
Also, to avoid ties, just use the yahoo default for scoring/fractional scoring. You wont have ties.
Good luck.

In a 12-team PPR for fantasy football, which draft slots are the best?

Assuming this is a one QB league, the best spot to draft out of is the top four. Get one of the big four RB’s then grab another RB on the way back through and give yourself two top 10 players at the thinnest position. There is going to be a significant drop off at RB early in the third round this year. At the 3 appt you can go Ezekiel Elliott, Jordan Howard, then grab TY Hilton as your number one receiver.TY could end up being a top 10 wr in the third round (he has been in 3 of last 4 seasons). Compare that to mid to late 3rd round RBs, and I don’t think you can argue McKinnon, Freeman, or Collins as a top 10 RB.The other thing to keep in mind is that barring injury, you should be fine for the first four rounds. Where every draft is won or lost is in rounds 6–11. Can you identify those mid round guys that are going to win you games this season? Can you manage the draft board and make sure you don’t take a QB/TE too early, but also don’t let a second run at either position go by without getting your starter?I like to go in knowing guys that I won’t draft and guys that I will because I will reach early. Last season I knew I was taking Kareem Hunt, Alvin Kamara, and Keenan Allen in every draft because I knew I would reach on them ahead of their current ADP.This season I know I’m going to draft Aaron Jones in almost all of my leagues because I’m taking him late 8th or early 9th round and his current adp is well into the 10th/11th. Same thing for Marcus Mariota, Pat Mahomes, Sterling Shepard, Kenny Golladay, and Marlon Mack.I’m not going to pick Ronald Jones in the 8th because he is value there. I’ll take a player I want early before filling my roster with guys that were value compared to ADP.So I’m drafting in the top 5 and hoping to build a roster along these lines : Stafford/Mariota/ Zeke/Howard/Ajayi/Mack/ Hilton/Hogan/Davis/Crowder/Shepard/Ross Eifert/Ebron Steelers/PraterAgain, you can win from any spot in the draft, it’s just a matter of hitting on those middle round picks, staying active on the waiver wire and really using tools like Pro Football Focus, NumberFire, and The Daily Audible to analyze matchups and start the right guys. Good luck this season.

What was the best fantasy football team you could have reasonably drafted in a 12 team league in 2018?

This depends heavily on draft position and scoring rules. I will arbitrarily assign the #6 pick.(#6) Saquon Barkley, RB - He ended up #2 over all running back and could have been had at #6 in most drafts. Fairly risky pre-draft and now a no-brainer.(#19) Christian McCaffrey, RB - He had a great year and you would have been thrilled to get him in the 2nd round. Interesting that the best team still goes RB-RB.(#30) JuJu Smith-Schuster, WR - Pretty consistent week in and week out. Was a very solid WR1.(#43) Derrick Henry, RB - This one is kind of cheating because we know what he did in the fantasy playoffs. But you have to have him on your team even if just to make sure your opponent didn’t luck into starting him.(#54) Robert Woods, WR - Ended up the receiver you wanted from the Rams offense.(#67) Tyler Lockett, WR - Had a very surprising season with 10 TDs and almost 1,000 yards.(#78) Pat Mahomes, QB - By far the best QB (fantasy-wise) and certainly available in the 7th round.(#91) George Kittle, TE - What a year by the 9ers TE. Does anybody want to bet he isn’t available in round 8 next year?(#102) Ka’imi Fairbairn, K - 12 made kicks 40–49 yards.(#115) Chicago, D - Scored 23% more points than #2 defense.Based on Yahoo standard scoring this team would average 132 points per week. That should easily be enough to win your league.

In a non-PPR fantasy football league, should I try to trade Mike Evans for Saquan Barkley?

Yes, absolutely. If someone is stupid enough to trade you saquan Barkley for Mike Evans absolutely pull the trigger on that deal. You’re talking about taking a top 5 running back for a third tier receiver. That’s a no brainer for the Mike Evans owner. If you can get Barkley it be a steal. Mike Evans gets double team, gives good looks for Desean and Godwin. Barkley is a stud and gets lot of screens and yards. Mike Evans just for Barkley is not a fair trade. If we do a redraft, I can see Barkley top 3 pick easy, Evans 1218…Absolutely the best answer.Disclaimer: While I do enjoy playing fantasy I mostly don’t know anything about the actual sport or the teams. I go full on Money Ball just making my picks based on the stats and win from players who use their ‘gut’ fairly solidly. If you haven’t seen it already playing with something like this is pretty solid DFS Lineup Optimizer for DraftKings and FanDuel Daily Fantasy SportsThat’s not to say everyone likes it though. I mostly play with strangers for prize pools but I have a smaller league with friends mostly just for fun and they complain about my strategy because they think it takes the fun out of it.

How many points for PPR in fantasy football league settings.?

I am adding the PPR stat to our football leagues stats on yahoo. I just don' tknow how many points to give per reception. What do you think? Here are our other stats.

Passing: 20 yards per point; 1 points at 200 yards; 1 points at 300 yards; 1 points at 350 yards (should i make it 25 per point?), 4 pts per touchdown and -1 for interceptions

Rushing: 10 yards per point; 1 points at 100 yards; 1 points at 150 yards; 1 points at 200 yards, 6 pts per touchdown,

Receivers: 10 yards per point; 1 points at 100 yards; 1 points at 150 yards; 1 points at 200 yards, 6 pts per touchdown

Who should I start in fantasy football Russell Wilson or Colin Kaepernick?

Wilson has yet to have a solid game, and I expect the Hawks to run it down Jacksonville's throat and stay ahead early with backups. Kaepernick is facing a weaker defense than last week, but will need to put up stats to stay ahead of the Indy offense. Go with Kaep, he is a more developed talent than Wilson.

Which 2018 Rookie Wide Receiver will have the best fantasy football season in PPR leagues this year?

As a long time fantasy football player I’ll answer this obtusely by saying ‘it doesn’t matter even if you could possibly know in advance, which you can’t.’That’s because it is rare for a rookie WR to have fantasy relevance. So, I may end up taking one as a handcuff - Ridley on a team where I own Julio or Gallup if I have Hurns, etc. Otherwise, unless one of them is blowing up in pre-season, don’t plan on a rookie WR being a regular member of your fantasy lineups.

Why do some fantasy football formats give 4 points for throwing a TD and others give 6?

There's no obvious reason. The number of points assigned to anything is somewhat arbitrary.Any deviation from "normal" scoring or roster rules usually helps the good players in any league, and hurts the bad ones. It changes the relative values of all the players, and makes those start of year checklists less and less valuable. (A league with RB-RB-WR-WR is very, very different from a league that's RB-RB-WR-WR-WR-FLEX; Antonio Brown is way more valuable in the second league than the first.)But having passing TDs worth 6 instead of 4 has the opposite effect. Quarterbacks tend to be overdrafted. It seems like there's always someone taking Aaron Rodgers in round 1 in the drafts I've been in. When TDs are worth more points, that increases the spread between the best QBs and the lowest starting QB, which means those guys who reach for a QB early are making less of a mistake than they did at 4 points per TD.
