Fender Bender Questions

Fender bender geico insurance question?

She probably wont sue over a stiff neck, you have bodily injury coverage under your liability insurance so that should cover any medical bills she may have. Keep in mind that many soft tissue injuries can take about 24 hours to show themselves. I am sure you have pulled a muscle or been sore from other activities that you don't notice the minute it happens but that show up later that day or the next morning. Also, in regards to the damage to the truck, sometimes at the scene of the accident it is tough to tell if something is out of line at all. Many times a body shop mechanic has to take a look at it in order to realize the bumper may be offline. Just report it to your insurance company and they will handle the damages, making sure that the damage claimed is a result of the accident, and they will also pay the other party for reasonable and necessary medical expenses and pain/suffering.

Fender bender question - what do I need to do to report it?

ANYTIME there's an accident you should call the police to have all the legal documentation for future purposes. But since you have not here is what you do next:
Call your insurance company and make a claim.
As for the hospital visit... when you go just tell the hospital that it is related to a car accident. They know the bill will have to be paid by one of the insurances so they will accept you and bill You later. It is then up to you to get the money from one of the insurances to pay the hospital back. And just so you know... the more hurt... the more times he has to visit the money... the bigger the settlement amount the insurance will offer. Call a lawyer friend. If you have no lawyer friend, call one anyway and ask them... they might be of assistance if they think they may be able to handle your case. In most cases, the insurance companies would rather not get attorneys involved as that can cost them a lot more. So try to deal with it yourselves and stick to your guns. Insurance companies will try to get off paying you the least amount possible. Also get an estimate of the damages on the vehicle so you will have that ready.

I got into a fender Bender, what do I do?

It doesn't matter what you said to the cop , since your mother had the car insured you're all good to go and totally covered . Let the insurances work it out . Never lie to your mom OR ANYONE that trusted you because you gonna destroy the trust you they have been building with you for years . Willing to pay for the car in secret indicates to me that you value your pride more than others that are close to you love u and clearly care about you . This is the reason people pay for insurance every month . So they won't have to pay for the damages . You are beating the purpose of paying insurance ( sorry but not the smartest thing to do to say it mildly ).. again though the moral of the story is that you need to address this big issue : SELFISHNESS … time to grow , learn from mistakes . It's absolutely ok to be an inexperienced driver , it's absolutely normal to be involved in an accident a few times in your life , it's actually pure mathematics ,odds are : everyone will be involved in an accident like it or not , but it's not normal , it's absolutely not cool to LIE about it and try to hide it . Not for just moral reasons . Not at all . But because what you will really achieve in the end is nothing but broken friendships , hurting your mom today , a friend or a partner later . And all that because you're so insecure to accept that you are just like anybody else . Remember : Nobody is “special” enough to be accident free ( or immune to accidents ) my little friend , nor me nor you either . The sooner you accept that little truth the sooner you'll value honesty rather than value “image” and fake perfection . Otherwise life will keep treating you harshly and you'll find yourself dealing with problems more often than others . Straighten your act , choose HONESTY and you'll be fine . Trust me . And btw instead of wasting your time in silly websites like Quora that profit from people that have similar attitude about life like yours how about call your mom and tell her exactly all these things that you have no problem telling ( anonymously ) the rest of the world that could care less ? I'm sure your mommy cares about you way more than anyone else around here . Good luck

Fender Bender at Work?

I've been a driver with the same company for 8 years now. No problems. Today I had a minor fender bender (my fault). The other people didn't want to go through insurance (I'm thinking they may not have any insurance since it wasn't their fault-they were only around 19). They are taking it to the shop to get an estimate. I'm thinking $2000-$3000 as my truck was higher so didn't hit their bumper, but the trunk.
Anyway, I'm terrified my boss will fire me tonight after work! I can't afford to lose my job. If I pay for the damage do you think my boss will be okay with it as there was no damage to my truck?

Salvage title car caused by only a fender bender?

I asked a similar question just a bit ago but this one is a little different.

Trying to buy a car, it looked good, good pictures claimed to have been taken a week ago, but lo and behold : SALVAGE TITLE

I messaged the guy and he said it was caused by a fender bender 2 years ago. But after researching a salvage title it seems like it would have to be much worse damage than a fender bender. Plus he said that it has no problems.

Is this guy downplaying the extent of the damage this car may have?

Is it possible a little fender bender that was apparently only cosmetic and has since been repaired would cause it to be salvage titled?

Car Insurance / Fender Bender?

The $500 repairs sounds about right. In MI, they have strange no fault rules, which means that (each) insurance company pays for their own damages, (but) they have a mini tort law, that they can claim back their deductible (only) which is up to $1,000.

So, she can claim the $500 in damages from your policy or you can pay yourself, your choice. If you don’t give her your policy information, then either her or her insurance can sue you for the $500.

I just had a fender bender and we decided to settle without gettin insurance involved.?

Had this happen several times........... once wife was at fault other the other driver at fault. In both............I got screwed..

If you do a release of liability state pacific things..........like I
(name of driver) relieve (name of second driver) of all liabilities from said accident (date) for the sum of (payment ammount} this included damages and liability for injuries.

If you want pacific state them here you don't want him or her to claim file later ...............have a witness sign it ...........notrized is best. Even with all of this the other person can come back with a defense of under duress when they signed.

Btw.........a lot of accidents happen that are not accidents and are scams to get you to pay them instead of taking out claim...notify your insurance company and get them involved if this is the case. I thought I could handel mine for $75.00 but he later filed and said he was injuried and was suing for lost wages. It was finally dropped because he went to jail for fraud from another crime.

In a fender bender, a culprit hit my left rear wheel, busted my tire, scratch my rim, scratched and dented around the wheel and door. Will their insurance company pay for an entire paint job? Will they pay just for the panel paint or entirety of it?

The insurance will pay to restore your car to its original condition. Which means they might try to source used parts if your car is used instead of brand new OEM parts. But they should fix everything - if you have an AWD - they should pay you for 4 brand new tires as mismatched tires on AWD can cause issues. If you have a FWD - I would not settle for anything less than 2 tires. Now here is another thing they wont pay from the get go: Its called Diminished Value. Your car is in an accident, it is on the carfax and future buyers will not pay top dollar for it. Many buyers may not even consider your car. Ask them for Diminished value - this is a negotiable value. Its not a said and done affair - you can ask for more. At the end of the day if the other party has good reliable insurance you will be fine. If he has a shady insurance you can lawyer up - depends on what your expenses are.good luck.
