First Day Of School, Im so nervous!?
I'm going to hs on July 1! I have no friends cuz I'm shy. I hate being a loner at school. I never knew what it was like to hang out with friends afterschool. Whenever I go to the movie theater with my sis I see people hanging out with there friends & there I am laughing at the movie while my sis is rolling her eyes. I NEED to make friends, my mom said if I dont make friends she's sending me to a psychologist. What do I say!? I'm really funny/perverted at home but at school I'm quite. At MS I didn't fit in anywhere. The popular girls were too girly, the nerds only talked about anime, the emos talk about bands. I'm afraid I won't fit in in hs! In ms i was in honors & had the same ppl in my class for 3 years! Those people were too mean. I just want friends :(
What two mistakes did Miss Caroline make on the first day of school in the book "To Kill a Mockingbird"?
One, she tried to lend Walter Cunningham a quarter for lunch, although everyone knows Cunninghams never accept money cause they can't pay it back. Two, she tried to make Burris Ewell stay in the class, although everyone knows Ewells just come to school only on the first day. Hope this helped. =)
Tell me about your first school detention(s)?
My first one was pretty boring - talking too much in class. I think that my other two detentions that year were for the same thing. My detentions didn't get interesting until I became older: - In seventh grade, I had to eat my lunch in a math class instead of with my regular class because I made fun of some girl's campaign poster (she was running for class president, and she did not end up winning). - In eighth grade, I set my own personal record with eight detentions in one school year. One of the first ones was for leaving the class to get a drink of water - without permission. I was a renegade back then. In my defense, it was homeroom, so I didn't just get up and walk out of the class while the teacher was talking. - Another one that I got that year was on Valentine's Day or Halloween, one of those candy holidays. The teacher explicitly told us not to eat any candy after she gave it to us, but I must have been talking to someone else or doing some other form of not listening, because I literally did not hear her say this at all. I ate the candy and got a detention. I didn't complain; she surely did say it, and it was my fault for missing it. - I didn't like my social studies class that year (actually, I don't think that I liked much about school that year), so, every morning, I would take this big loop around the eighth-grade hall to get to class instead of walking right across the hall. I took much longer or started much later than usual that morning, so everyone had cleared out of the hall by the time that I had almost reached my social studies class. My homeroom teacher (she was the one who gave my the two eighth-grade detentions that I've listed above) saw me walking in the hall and gave me a detention for being late. Actually, it was more like a detention for loitering. - My best non-homeroom detention that year came in art class. Some kid dropped a pencil near me and told me to take it. His tone of voice indicated that he had done this dismissively, that he had given me the pencil because he didn't want it and because it was suitable for me only. Without thinking, I chucked the pencil back at him. The teacher saw this and gave me a detention. Strangely enough, I haven't had a detention since then. Anyway, if your first detention was't very exciting, cheer up - if my experience is any indication, the detention stories become better as you get older.
How do i get popular in the 11th grade at a new school??!!!?
You don't want to really be popular ar school, just in a really good clique. My grade is divided into huge cliques. We have the gothic guys, the whore-wannabes, The Sporty Preps& Jocks[Also the guys that fight and break the rules and all that crap and are hilarious] The Softball Players and any guy that likes them, the girls nobody really likes and the skater boys, and then there's the girl's whose life revolves around sex, and then there's me and my two friends who sit with each other. The girls that have all all the friends in higher grades and lower grades are girls who are just beautiful and they actually take care of themselves. Are you black? You seem kinda scared of going to a really white school. You probably wanna play a lot of sports and be excellent at them. You would want to curl and straight put your hair up and do different things with it everyday, I mean different like you haven't done that hairstyle that year. Don't go as plain, trying to fit in. Even though you wear Abercrombie & Fitch and Hollister doesn't mean you'll be Ms. Popular. You want to go in there and be confident in yourself, be funny & smart in your classes, sit by the girl group you want to be a part of. Girls now carry big designer handbags. Girls wear A & F & H but they don't wear like the same jeans each week. They always have their wardrobe updated. They wear like 20,000 pairs of new shoes that year too. Before you start this new trend make sure you have the money to do so.
Which is the most pleasant memory of your schooldays?
The very last day. That meant I was out of school and could start my career.
