Foods To Support Hair Colour

Can you really make PERMANENT hair dye with food coloring & conditioner?

You can use food coloring and conditioner.... When I was younger we used kool aid the kind without the sugar... It will dye your hair and if you want the best results you need to dye it as light a blonde as you can get so the colors are easy to see. However NONE of the methods are going to be permanent. They will all fade with washing your hair even if you use a shampoo for color treated hair. The commercial dyes work best but they fade as well. The only way to get a permanent change is to redo it every time it looks faded. No matter what color you use homemade or otherwise you will have fading and you will have to do touch ups. If you don't want to have to worry about those things then either do a wash out color or nothing at all.

HELP! HAIR COLOR IS TERRIBLE?

so I recently purchased the clairol flare me dark in the color keep calm and berry on at Sally's, which is a berry purplish color. Now I expected the color to not show EXACTLY as the box but what I didn't expect was that it wouldn't show at all. In order for you to even see that I'm wearing a hair color is in direct sunlight, otherwise it looks like I never put any color on my hair. As you can probably guess, this is the first time that I ever decided to make my hair an unnatural color at home, I usually go for black or even red and I rarely have these problems. My natural hair color is a dark brown which is the reason I bought the dark version in the clairol line instead of the lighter ones. Following the directions on the box, I added the volume 20 instead of 30 because that's what was recommended and a hair protector as well, I added half of each with the color itself and mixed them. What I wanted was a very noticeable purple ombre style hair combining my natural hair color on top and very purple on the bottom but what I actually received was a color you could barely see, can anyone tell me what I did wrong? Is it better to go to a salon and bleach my hair instead or is there a better way? Please help!!
