Any advice for my cronic sweet tooth??
I was in the same position as you--- I LOVE sweets, and so does my family. Here was my solution-- first, go to the store and stock up on healthy snacks. Here are some of my favorites: -100 calorie granola bars (Chips ahoy, Nutter butter and oreo) -Kashi cookies-- they are great!! -Orange sherbet (it has no fat!) -Breyers fat free chocolate ice cream with chocolate cookie pieces -Ovaltine isn't too bad for you, I love chocolate milk, and it actually has a lot of vitamins All you have to do is read the labels on everything! There are lots of healthy, yummy snacks out there! Next step is to ask your mom if she will designate a certain cabinet or cookie jar or hidden area for the snacks she buys. You'll still know they're there, but they won't be in your face every time you go looking for something to snack on. I usually give myself up to two treats a day, because I really do love them. Here is my typical schedule: breakfast snack- fruit lunch snack- treat dinner desserty kind of food to top the night off. And I don't feel deprived. i'm doing great right now, I just lost another 3 lbs, and so far have lost about 20 in all since Easter. Another thing that helps is, after you've been eating the good stuff a while, go back and look at the nutrition facts on the old crappy snacks. It'll really make you gag-- they are full of so much nasty stuff.... saturated fat, cholesterol, sodium... gross! good luck!

How to make Southern Style Sweet Tea that tastes like Arizona Tea?
I use a four cup measuring cup filled will water. Add seven teabags (Luzianne) and microwave for 4 minutes. Let stand for a minute or two then squeeze the tea bags and discard. Add one cup of sugar to hot tea (helps disolve sugar) then pour the four cups of tea into a gallon jug (pitcher if you're a yankee) and fill to top. Perfect sweet tea, just pour over ice. extra tip: If you are making a large batch for an outing (picnic or reunion) freez a gallon of tea and use it as ice in the Igloo cooler (using a plastic milk jug works great because you can use scissors to cut it away from the ice/tea when you're ready to use it). As it melts it will not dilute your tea.
