From Sfo Airport To Downtown San Francisco

How do I get from San Francisco airport to Mountain View (Googleplex)? I must use public transport :(?

cabs would be pretty expensive

i once took a cab from SF to palo alto at night, and it cost around $75...

and from palo alto to mountain view is about $25 if i remember correctly...

there isn't any public transporation that would go door to door...but you can take the caltrain from the airport to mountain view, and after you get off the train, you may have to walk a little...(hopefull you have no luggage)

here's caltrain's website

Which is faster from SFO to downtown San Francisco on a Monday around 8:30am: an Uber/taxi or public transit?

BART would be the quickest way to get from SFO to Downtown San Francisco.

What is the best way to get from downtown San Francisco to an airport hotel after the bar?

You can probably take BART to the Airport and see if the hotel shuttle will pick you up from that station. Last train leaving the city is about 1:00 AM which gets you to SFO at 1:35You can check it yourself here.Schedules By LineOr if you are going to be later, there are "all-nighter" busses:Transit 511: Transit Provider InfoAlternatives are a taxi or UBER but that can get expensive.Personally, I'd look for a hotel in the city that wouldn't involve having to travel an extra hour at the end of the night.

What is the best way to get to downtown San Francisco from SFO?

For me it depends on what time of day it is, and how much luggage you have. BART is pretty easy from SFO to downtown, but it's a bit of a pain with luggage (you have to deal with escalators etc...). IF it's raining, it's pretty annoying shlepping around downtown with luggage. If you are not trying to save $, a cab is a good option. It's much easier, and will take you directly to your final destination. However, I find that during rush hour, it takes as long if not longer to cab then to take the BART.Also, if you arrive at the airport at a busy time, I would arrange a car service before hand, then you don't have to wait in the taxi line. It usually moves quickly, but I have waited for 10-15 minutes in that line before. Here's info on the BART:http://www.bart.gov/guide/airpor...For a car service, I would just look it up on Yelp.

Coming from San Francisco International Airport to USF?

Hi,

This will be my first time taking an airplane to San Francisco (or my first time taking an airplane actually), so I have a question about the timing:

My ticket says that I will arrive at SFO by 7:45am. Generally, at that time of day, how long will it take me to get off the plane and call a taxi? And are taxis already waiting in the taxi area, or would I have to call one?

Then I have to be at the University of San Francisco (taking the 101 Highway) by 9am...so will I make it?

I would greatly appreciate any help regarding my questions.

**Btw I will only have carry on luggage, so that saves time**

How to get to AmTrak train station from San Francisco downtown? What about from SFO?

If you are coming from SFO Airport, take the BART subway to either (1) MacArthur; (2) Coliseum; or (3) Richmond. The airport BART station is located near Concourse G in the International Terminal. You will pass through Downtown San Francisco - which is served by Civic Center, Powell Street, Montgomery Street, and Embarcadero stations - on your way to Amtrak.

- At MacAuthur, there's a free shuttle bus that will transfer you to the Emeryville Amtrak station.

- The Richmond and Coliseum BART stations are connected to Amtrak stations of the same name. However, these stations are located in pretty dicey neighborhoods. Even though it involves an additional bus transfer, I would go to Emeryville because it is safer.

Any beach to go near San Francisco Airport?

I am going on a trip to korea this month and coming back on June 5th
I have a 7 hour lay over between flights at San Francisco Airport before my flight to home
Is there any beach to go hang out near San Francisco airport? if so, what would be a good way to get there?

I just miss it soooo much and thought it would be awesome if i could go get some sun and hang out at the beach rather than sitting at the airport for 7hours

if there isn't any, let me know if there is any cool place to go hang near the airport :)
Thanks:)

Which Amtrak station is closest to San Francisco Airport?

Thanks for the replies. I know the Amtrak does not directly go to SFO. But I live 2 hours away from the bay area and have to take the amtrak to get to a bart station first before getting to the SFO. That's why I ask which amtrak station I should get off and then get onto the Bart.
