Good gaming headset with clear microphone?
I want a good gaming headset, preferably under £100. I want it to have good audio, gaming in mind, and nice bass and a really clear microphone. The headset I have at the moment is the Razer Megalodon and the microphone static is just really annoying, the headset is nice but I would prefer to get a new one. Nubwo No-3000 Headset Microphone not working?!?
I recently purchased a Nubwo 3000 Headset with both headphones and microphone. I checked the sound, and they exceeded my imagination, they were GOOD! But when I tried to use the microphone, I realized that they weren t recording anything, I eventually realized I had to put pressure on a certain point of my splitter (I seperately bought a Female Splitter) for it to work, and then again all I heard from the recording was mostly static and a little bit of my voice I tried troubleshooting my audio, nothing happened. I need an answer as I m not an expert when it comes to troubleshooting and drivers and stuff Maybe I have to update my drivers? But then again, I don t know how. Thank you, Yasin

Your Asus laptop has a "COMBO" jack for a SINGLE audio plug that has 4 CONTACTS---tip, ring, ring, sleeve. Your Redragon headset has 3 plugs. One is for USB lights etc. The one for headset is 3 CONTACTS--tip, ring, and sleeve. The one for microphone has 3 CONTACTS for some reason---tip, ring and sleeve. Most have only two. Your "splitter" is all wrong. It has 3 CONTACTS on plug, and 3 contacts on each socket. That is for 2 headphones, not a single headset with microphone. The phone is like the laptop. Splitter is junk for you. You need an adapter, not a splitter. The correct one has a 4 CONTACT plug and marked repeat MARKED sockets for the headphones and for the microphone. Get one. Not expensive. Maybe Redragon sells the correct adapter just for their headset since your microphone seems to be on a special plug.

Can a gaming headset work like a regular microphone?
i want ot buy a computer microphone my mom will get it for me for my birthday soon but i like to play games and my friends want to chat with me so i think a gaming headset would be good but i also do voiceovers and machinima videos so i want to know if it doubles as a regular computer microphone i.e. recording my voice with a program on my computer and putting that file in windows movie maker with my video clip and upload it to youtube? please if you know anything i will greatly appreciate it :D p.s. im 13 and i dont use alot of punctuations on teh interwebz :)
