Good Paying Jobs For 16 Year Olds

Good pay jobs at 16 years old?

as an entry level employee who's only 16, you will probably just make minimum wage at first - but i would recommend coffee shops, book stores ( i worked two years at a Borders book shop and it was the funnest job i ever had), grocery stores, restaurants (you could be a hostess), you might try applying at an amusement park or some other seasonal place.

just a few ideas. my first job was when i was 15 i got paid to pick weeds in the parking lot of the company my dad worked for. it sucked. but then after i turned 16 i got a job at dairy queen. that was more enjoyable, though you do get sick of the food fast.

What are the highest paying jobs for 16 year olds?

I don’t want to burst your bubble, as I can see what a hardworking person you are, but you won’t make $30K in a year with a part-time job at 16 years old. So you’ll have to approach this a bit differently.First, you obviously want a new car. You’ll need someone to secure the loan, someone with a steady income who will guarantee that the car payments will be made. Ask your parents. And then you’ll need the down payment plus license fees and taxes. This amount will vary depending on the credit of your parents and the price of the car. You might need $3k-$5k to put down, which you’ll be able to save in a year doing any minimum wage job. Here’s what we did for our daughter: we leased a new car for her. The down payment was only $1500, and the monthly payments are around $250 (it’s a Honda Civic). She makes the payments. We signed a three-year lease, which will be up when she’s 20. At that point, she’s on her own - she can buy the car or turn it in and get something else. She’s already planning on buying it (she has 1 year left on the lease), and the amount owed will be around $8k. She already has this amount saved from her part-time job.The truth is that no one is going to pay you more than minimum wage because you don’t have any experience. But that’s okay - we all have to start somewhere. Find a job that will work around your school schedule - try local restaurants, pet stores, retail stores, apply everywhere. It’s not easy to get a job, so don’t be picky. Keep the end goal in mind, learn as much as you can, and maybe you can get a raise. :)Good luck! I admire what you’re doing!

Good jobs for 16 year olds?

In this economy, you need to be thinking outside the box when it comes to jobs. Adults as old as their 70s, who lost their retirement savings because of the financial scandals, are now working jobs previously done by teens, as are younger adults trying to support families

In trying to find a job, you have to look beyond working in a store, a burger joint, some other area that does not require experience and/or expertise.

One needs to think about what tasks that need to be done, but people hate doing, and are willing to pay someone else to do.

One needs to think about starting their own business to set your own hours, without the problems of needing for a work permit, being too young, and not having the needed experience.

This article talks about one such area in which a Denver (CO) woman quit her upper management job to do, earning her over $75,000 a year, working outside, setting her own hours, and can be done using a bicycle as transportation. It is also something a child or teen can be doing with an unemployed parent.

Are there any good jobs for 16-year-old males that pay well? They need to be flexible, and not a job like fast food or a waiter.

Option 1: Learn a skill that you can do for pay online, like writing or admin work. Put a simple portfolio together and create accounts on freelancing sites like Upwork. Start applying to positions.Option 2: Apply to jobs at landscaping companies. These jobs pay $3-$4 more than minimum wage in my experience, plus it’s a good workout.Option 3: If it snows where you’re at in the winter, you can create your own snow shoveling business. Put an ad in your local paper. People will pay you up to $30. Not bad for half an hour of work, and the only expenses you’ll have are a snow shovel and some gas if you need to drive to the person’s house.

Well paying jobs for a 16 year old, Florida?

I am a senior in high school and I am a really good student but i just found out that my parents will not help me with college expenses, so even though i already have a job i will need a second one. I have a really good resume and great references even though I'm just 16 but I don't know where to look for an other job, or where to start. I really need an other job that pays better than my current one, or that i can work night shifts at. I like my job but I don't get as many hours or get payed well enough. Any ideas of places please??

A good job for a shy 16 year old?

Culver's minimum hiring age is 14 with a workers permit.

I called many stores because I am 14 looking for a job. This was the response they gave which makes me happy after looking for so long.

Find a local one go online and apply and go in store to apply or call and ask if they are hiring.

What I did was Google a bunch of business near my home and found their numbers using Google maps or their sites and I called and directly asked if they are hiring and what age do they hire at.

Try local grocery stores, pizza parlors, retail stores, fast food restaurants.
